“To be fair, you’ve had it since I first heard Wings, but let’s pretend I’m not actually a huge fan and I’m just deciding now that you have my eternal love.”

“Oh please, me giving you my eternal love is a standard thing. You should definitely feel honored, though, like I don’t give my love to just anyone.”

“I’ll treasure your love like no other, I promise. I’ll keep it locked up right in my heart.”

I don’t think you’re obvious. It may be obvious to locals that you’re a tourist when you’re travelling around, but I don’t think in general you’ve got a big neon sign screaming tourist or anything. Different kinds of weather and -I know it sounds a bit weirder, but- um, generally not very important clothes? Like, tourists don’t really wear super fancy or sentimental clothes, because they could get ruined. It was, it was. Of course, I’m the person who just loves taking classes and learning, so it was fun all together. Yeah, I mean, I think there’s a big difference between a vacation and an experience. Some people like their vacations to be experiences, but most people just want to relax. It’s incredibly satisfying to me to really be able to learn a place.

Jade pursed her lips before a smile tugged on them. “What about you give me a foot rub and I give you my eternal love? However, I gotta be honest here and say I wouldn’t mind giving you both a foot rub and food, so if your foot rub is extraordinary I’ll happily give you both.”

“Mm, that sounds like a pretty fair deal, but do I still get to keep the eternal love or is it off the table?”

“For Liam, that might actually work! Not lame at all, besides he’s a bit of a softy. It’s lovely – you know, I don’t know if anyone knows this, but I used to be a baker.”

“Is he a big cake fan? I can’t say cake’s come up much in our conversation. We’re all a bit of softies for the people we love, I think. Were you?”

“Any advice on how to tell Liam I’m permanently moving into the spare room? I’ve been happier here than I have literally anywhere else  and it’s beginning to feel a lot like home…”

“Um, you could bake him a cake and write, ‘Please let me stay forever,’ on it? Was that totally lame to say? My answer is always baking; I shouldn’t be asked these questions.”

People that travel tend to subconsciously dress for many types of weather. It’s like when you see a middle aged couple with a map, a hat, sunscreen on their nose, and god-awful pants that can be unzipped into shorts, you know they’re travelling around. Everyone has little tells that give themselves away, some are just more obvious than others. But, no, it’s something I learned when I was studying criminal psychology. That must be such an amazing experience. I’m glad you’re in that position too. It’s also good you jumped on the opportunity too. So many people would let it pass by.
