old bald man
hello, everyone!
this is an account created for The Clergy’s Ghart Hall, a server from artists for artists.
it’s super simple, and primarily to have fun, connect and share. this was created with the expectancy that more artists can be friends or merely cultivate a little net where everyone can just vibe together and — obviously — with the band.
RULES
you must be 18+;
be engaged in the ghost fandom in some form of creative manner;
don’t make any kind of content that is not considered to be LEGAL;
the basic DNI subjects (homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, etc.)
please, memorandum this is something entirely for fun.
coalesce the clergy and create with us!!!

anyways can we take a moment and just appreciate how Good this interview was? speaking from a journalism student's point of view this was amazing to watch. jon was amazing, it’s great to see he has a domain of the subject and asked respectful questions viewing tobias work and actually invested with deep stuff and not the same ol’ questions we always hear people ask.
tho i’m super suspicious to talk about this as a journalism student, it’s RARE to see artists be treated like human beings during interviews let alone have good questions to be thrown at them.
i’m a firm believer that the best interviews are from people who somehow have a minimal to big knowledge about the person they’re about to spend at least an hour talking to. you’re a complete stranger, you must make that moment not feel uncomfortable both for the person and for the people watching. it was light, and fun and the questions were creative even if repetitive from all those years on the road. it’s inevitable not to ask the basics™
you could hear jons passion and the way he was truly engaged in it. i think we should see more interviews like that, we - as in people who study journalism, etc - should look up for that. even if you don’t know the person and never heard of them, do some research and try to find aspects to talk about. try to be sensitive and to be the best ever, because by making the person comfortable you get always the best answers and the best of them. it’s a natural state for us to simply spill out words when comfortable
i’ve seen many many tobias interviews as the years were passing by after the reveal and they were mostly horrible. they were treating him like a zoo animal. that’s not the goal
so to finish up my nerd journalist moment, it was truly amazing to watch that. love it. 10/10
that’s how you do it folks, that’s a fucking professional

i love talking about tobias and how talented he is. his voice range is surreal; when he talks sounds like the most endearing lullaby ever composed. he’s such a weird little guy, simply a Man with his fifth-grade sex jokes and references. the way he smiles and makes funny noises in interviews.
he is so precious to me somehow. gives me comfort and some sort of peace of mind. his music allowed me to find my path spiritually, even if that was not the purpose, even if it’s just all a fantasy. it helped me. i met people, i was able to create art, to connect with a part of me i was afraid of letting bloom. hell, i received the best birthday present ever on june 1st, 2018 when they released Prequelle. on my birthday !!!!!!
ghost is such a big part of me, it’s turning 10 years next year, and i can’t even express how proud i am to finally have the courage to come out on the internet and talk about them, to be able to see people make edits, and draw, write, and just have fun with this stupid band. they’re all so silly and genuine, it’s not a mask — the mask is only for show purposes; the people up on the stage are really just being themselves.
and they allow us to be ourselves with them and enjoy ourselves. maybe that’s the real meaning, the real goal: for us to have fun and enjoy ourselves, and share those moments with thousands of people in a stadium, alone in our rooms, with tobias when he looks back at us from above the stage.
it’s just for us to be able to be the best we can be, which’s ourselves. no fear, no judgment, no prejudice. just us, in our most vulnerable state. when we are happy and not paying attention to our surroundings when we trust this community built around this anonymity. to be someone you always wanted to be. makeup and costumes are just accessories, because we are just having fun, and fun is the only state we are ourselves without paying attention to.
so smile, laugh, cry. be yourself, be vulnerable —just be.
they helped me to simply be me. i hope tobias is aware of that, because i know we somehow changed him and helped him just be a part of himself on stage and share it with us too.
