Sometimes, Doc forgets the English words for things, so he just spits out whatever the word is in German.

Doc can slip into German under extreme emotions (anger, surprise, etc.) or if his mind isn't working properly (severe illness, stressful situations, etc). It's very common for him to forget the English word for things and to resort to whatever the word is in German.

The other hermits might not completely understand him, but they try to. Hermits helping hermits, right?

(Ren is 100% learning German for him lol)

Hey have you noticed that Logico doesn’t get described ever

the guy is never really described in the books except for a select few times when his info card is shown. He’s not in the suspect art museum. We don’t even get a throw-away line about it from Irratino!

But it does mean that with every fic, the readers may all be envisioning an entirely different person. I myself write Logico with no set design in mind at all lol, maybe I should come up with one

there will never be anything as funny as the mutual disbelief between long form and short form fic writers about each other's style.

short form writers look at people writing 100k+ fics as though this is some sort of talent given as part of a fae bargain, that the commitment required shows some sort of ungodly mental fortitude.

meanwhile long form writers look at people writing 1000 word one shots like god I would cut off my left nipple to be able to say anything concisely. i would love to play with multiple ideas. free me from the shackles of this child I have birthed. i love them but I now must take them to t-ball and doctor's appointments and they're going to destroy everything I own.

Honestly, I think a lot of people that say that Scout would be a bad boyfriend aren’t from the area of the U.S. that he’s from. Over here in the Northeast U.S., we’re not exactly nice. We’re very blunt and say what we mean and have a tendency towards teasing our friends and family in a way that may seem mean to others. However, when someone we love is in need (or even a stranger), we’ll step up and help. Albeit with a ton of cursing and complaining, but we’ll help. I’m not from Boston, but Bostonians specifically have a bit of a reputation for this sort of ‘not nice, but kind’ attitude, and seeing as Scout’s a Bostonian in New Mexico, a lot of his behavior comes off as more arrogant and asshole-ish than it would be in the context of a more NE environment.

Also, this is comic spoilers, but the fact that Scout in the epilogue has seemingly been through three different marriages and not only has kept the house, but also the KIDS in whatever splits happened shows that he is far more adept at being a partner and parent than people give him credit for.

Anyway that’s my rant
