Was kind of hoping that Blue Dragon Plus would have had some nice friendly interactions between Kluke and Sahlia... but nah, let's have them be passive aggressive af with the ^_^ expressions as they're 3 inches away from clawing each other's eyes out over Shu.
Really disappointing and I honestly blame the Blue Dragon Anime for this because of Kluke vs. Bouquet in season 1. Since when is game!Kluke as petty as anime!Kluke over a boy? I think the anime (unfortunately) had a lot of influence character writing-wise over the last two games.
Gets worse in Blue Dragon Awakened Shadow where Sahlia has pretty much been turned into a brat of a character and is suddenly a romantic and has weird battle quotes like "Love power~!" and "You're not my type!". I'm not expecting Sahlia to remain the depressed, borderline suicid@l character she was in the first game, but she had an established personality that was shown in BD+. Why change that to make her a bootleg!Bouquet in the last game? Why couldn't Kluke and Sahlia be friends and not love rivals? There was just a lot of potential for Kluke & Sahlia and it's frustrating to see it get turned into what it was.
The sequels butchered all the characters so much fr 😭. Tbh I think if written correctly Sahlia and Kluke would get along really well, they both lost their parents so like, did the writers just not care? 😂
