3) jopper moment in the same spot in the field framed between those two trees as vol 1

4) will was still asking about the progression of robin and vickie’s relationship. he asks if the relationship happened after she accepted herself and she said no, the next “step” was telling others. only after that were things able to snowball -> avalanche with vickie. that moment in volume 1 hasn’t been forgotten. will had that expression on his face for a reason. he’s following her timeline: self-acceptance, sharing, avalanche. we still have chekov’s painting, we still haven’t seen what mike’s looking at in his bedroom (EDIT: I CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT TO MENTION WILL USING THE SAME WORDING OF “feeling different” LIKE IN THE VAN I GASPED WHEN THAT HAPPENED MIKE WILL PICK UP ON THAT TRUST)

5) in the second “waterfall” conversation mike is the one to include the rest of the party with how it’s their story. if it’s meant to be a romantic “we can run away together just the two of us” moment, why bring up all their other friends? (also him saying “friends don’t lie” stood out to me)

6) why were there so many solo shots of mike. WHY WERE THERE SO MANY SOLO SHOTS OF MIKE

i feel like they’re trying to lead us to believe that all mike is is his tammy (which is not true in many ways, the MOST IMPORTANT BEING mike and will are not strangers. they’re best friends, they’re each other’s first friend- but that’s a different plate of cookies for a different glass of milk). however this is will’s story, maybe the narrative is pointing us in direction because that’s will’s pov. we still have NO idea what’s going on in mike’s head, for all we know will could be thinking “it was never about mike, maybe he was my tammy and that’s okay, i’ll find love later like robin did” while mike is on his hands and knees like “PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE”

the thing i’m most mad about is how we STILL haven’t seen mike’s pov. we don’t really know what he’s thinking or how he’s feeling. maybe that’s intentional, maybe he’s refusing to let even himself really understand how he feels/what he thinks, maybe will coming out is the first push of the snowball down the hill. but it’s still incredibly frustrating not to know any of his perspective, esp because i’ve been so confident in byler and now i fear the clown music is catching up to me (i say as i go back and add more to the list as my brain processes everything)
