Remember:

Do not follow LP to the back. Continue to try to leave without using violence.

Do not admit to anything. If you need something to say to reply to them to make not admitting anything easier, repeat that you want to leave and that you don't consent to a search.

Do not allow them to search your body or your phone. Some states in the US (EEUU) allow staff to search a bag, but none allow staff to search your body, either over or under your clothes.

If they forcibly search your person, belongings or phone, regardless of whether it is legal in that state, continue to firmly state that you do not consent to a search.

If a company says it’s “doing an investigation,” this is what they mean.

An investigation is just when a company files a report with the courier that someone claimed the package was never delivered/empty/whatever

The courier will respond “yes, we did deliver the package, here’s our proof”

Proof can include a photo, weight, tracking, signature, etc. Every piece of info they have on the package they will send to the company as proof it was delivered on their end. (all investigations will come back failed)

However, it is completely up to the company whether or not they want to use this info to withhold a refund.

Companies with good policies will refund you. They know you are likely lying. BUT since the investigation doesn’t 100% prove that it wasn’t mishandled or stolen by the courier, there is possibility for refund.

The courier will take note every time an investigation is filed and it will count as a tally against your address and may lead to being blacklisted by them.

HOWEVER:

As someone in the US (EEUU) and in the south I do want to remind you that some employees or bystanders MAY BE ARMED.

The legality of them shooting you for running away or trying to push past then depends on your state, or course, but we've all seen cases where nothing happens.

Most importantly whether or not they get in trouble after the fact is AFTER THE FACT. Them catching a charge will not change that you are maimed or killed.

It won't matter to you that they are in jail if you are dead.

If any employee or bystander who is armed engages with you, drop anything you are holding and do not approach. If they are between you and exit, do not try to push past them.

You will have to determine in the moment whether or not compliance or flight is safest for you.

Compliance does not guarantee your safety, many people have been killed while complying with an armed bystander. If you decide to flee, get as far away from them as possible and put as many solid objects between them and you as possible.

tight pieces of clothing are your best friend. me personally i get very tight shorts and put them under my big baggy shorts to conceal. when you need to conceal something you can just go to a blind spot and shove it down your pants. this can also be done with skirts on the top too!

speaking of skirts, have a long one? you can wear full on tights under there and have wayyyy more room to conceal items. do it from your ankle, your waistband, it doesn’t matter!!!

you can do the same thing with a waist trainer, but the difference is you will either shove up into it from your lower half or you can be bold and pull your shirt up then shove it into the top mega quick. you can hide the waist trainer under any baggy article of clothing. hoodies, shirts, whatever it is.

you can also get a pair of arm warmers and stuff stuff in there as long as it’s hidden by something baggier.
