Open Positions on theĀ āGravity Falls: Deep Woodsā project
Alright folks, hereās the thing. I've had to wrestle with the fact that the reason this project keeps going inactive is that I, MysterySeeker, am not pushing it as hard as I would like. I'm just not able to find the time to really dedicate myself to it, and it doesn't look like I will be able to do so again anytime soon. I still love this project with all my heart, and want to see the stories we have crafted finished, but the way the project has been managed so far, this will most likely not happen. This is why I'm looking for people to fill three specific roles that will take on certain duties to keep the project running, without having to rely on me for planning. (I don't want to step back from the project or anything, I just want it to become less tied to my personal motivation) So, here's what I'm looking for:Ā
Project Manager
This position will come with a lot of responsibility, as it includes a lot what I used to do for the project in the past. As Project Manager, youāll be responsible for planning out the production, as in setting deadlines, keeping track of all of our members and who is available for what work, etc. You should be able to plan around obstacles, such as team members leaving or becoming unavailable, and be able to adjust the deadlines accordingly. Iād also rely on you to keep in touch with the other team members to make sure the deadlines are being met. There may be two seperate people who will be given this position, so they can share the responsibilities amongst one another.
Art Director
Now in theory, this position takes on a lot of similar responsibilities to the project manager, but specifically for the artists on this project. Your tasks would include assigning scenes to the artists, setting the deadlines with them and making sure they keep to these deadlines. Working with artists means having to know their individual strengths and weaknesses, so I trust whoever fills this one, to be able to judge which artist is best fitted for which position (storyboarders, bg artists, cleanup, etc.) Ideally this position would be in heavy communication with the project manager and myself, as to ensure a well planned production. Ā
Head WriterĀ ā
This, I admit, is the least pressing situation, but I would like to ensure the continued flow of operations in this area as well. As a head writer, you would oversee the writing process of our scripts, set the deadlines for our writers and would be in charge of planning our writers meetings. Now preferably I would let one of our veteran writers take on this role, but in case none of them feel up for it, Iāll post this one here with the others.
The most important thing for when you guys decide to apply for any of these positions is to only do so, if you are able to stay fully dedicated to this project in the foreseeable future. I have to admit itās a little tough for me to give up some of the control over this project, so I want to truly be able to rely on you guys. I have already received internal applications for several of the positions, some of which I think would be very good picks for these positions already, but as I want to make sure Iām able to find the right people, Iām posting this on here as well, so that you guys, in case you have ever wanted to get involved with the project, would have a chance as well.
