“There’s always hope, but there’s lots of fear,” says Reportage photographer Paula Bronstein about life in Afghanistan, the subject of her upcoming book. The Asia Photo Weekly video series profiled Paula and her work, highlighting her compassion for her subjects and her ability to gain extraordinary access to document people’s lives.
Her book, “Afghanistan: Between Hope and Fear,” compiling 15 years of photography from the country, is available in August from University of Texas Press.
