Tomorrow is my first official day on the job at my new summer gig up here in Yellowstone National Park. I’m a Park Host Volunteer at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel. I will hang out and visit with the park visitors and tell them about the park and what types of things they can do while here. Many thanks to my family and friends for helping me make this dream a reality.

Throwback Thursday - May 2015 - Top Image: The inspiration (Lower Falls, Yellowstone National Park) and the sketch as it was drying. I sketched this one and it started to rain. I ran to the car and after the rain passed, I finished the watercolor, which dried a little slower since it was still sort of rainy.

My Durer Alphabet Practice Chart from Sign Painting Class. A lot of fun to do. 

Brush Stroke Practice with One Shot from my Sign Painting class last semester.  The idea here was to overlap the strokes and make the practice a beautiful image.

This fall I took an old school sign painting class using brush lettering, hand-made brushes and one-shot. This is a paper show card using Copic markers and OneShot from that class. It was a fun class exercise and a means to practice.  

I realized after yesterday’s post that I have never posted the Art and Design Department identity. So, here it is in several versions.

Found my logo design on the screen printing bed with a found critique. Nice. :)
