Clip Test

You can attract some fantastic birds with just a simple slice of bread. This is an RAF Wessex Support Helicopter of 84 Squadron, based at RAF Akrotiri, Cyprus. This picture was taken some years ago and these old aircraft have now been replaced by Griffin helicopters which provide training and operational support, search and rescue and fire fighting capabilities for use by British and Cypriot authorities during emergencies.

Something of a homage to the late Robert Mapplethorpe.  I’ve steered clear of his more dodgy work. Ooh er Missus.

There has been a mill on his site in Stafford for hundreds of years, these working parts were preserved for posterity when the mill finally closed in the 1950s. The mill race, fed by the river Sow, still runs close by.

Harold is a true old world gent. He is helpful, considerate, always willing to go out of his way to assist if you need help. This was taken during as visit to Cyprus on a small point and shoot digital camera. I’m proud to count Harold as a friend.

Hasselblad 503CXi, 80mm Planar, lit with one 500w Bowens Esprit main light into a silver umbrella high to the right and a white reflector close in on the left to fill the shadows. Ilford FP4, rated at 125.

Minolta Dynax 9xi, Ilford HP5. Don’t remember the broth it was developed in, probably ID11 at 1 to 3.

The heavy industry region of Germany is the Ruhr gebiet, in places a dismal area where life is tough. A major employer here is ThyssenKrupp, the multi national steel producer. Their massive sprawling steel works dominates the skyline and fills the air with an almost permanent burning smell. Pentax 67, 55mm lens, Ilford XP2. Fick den Stadt means Fuck the City.
