I'm Working on color thumbnails for a comic book cover. A question came up in the chat about how to go about using reference for creature design. My method is using mood boards for inspiration while sketching, then more focused images for calling out textures/details when refining a sketch.

We cover too many topics to list here, but the recurring theme is creative resilience and persistence in the face of life's challenges. I also redraw some bad figure drawings.

I've been away from making comics for way too long. Time to push forward. Working on cover thumbnails for my next tale, an Ancient Greek Mythology Adventure.

I took a class in-person with him years ago and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I've learned so much from him. And he's a kind, funny, and encouraging teacher to boot!
