I decided to create a selection of Postcards using images from the forest.

The postcards them selves are not aimed at specific age groups. instead they are supposed to show the beauty of local nature which should hopefully appeal to all!

The idea is these post cards would be posted to people, given out for free at local locations within cities and towns.

Final postcard design. 

These postcards would be printed onto a heavy card with a matt print. The card would be recycled and eco friendly inks would be used. 

The idea is that the white lines on the circles would be scored so would easily pop out of the postcard. 

The top image is the front of the leaflet, and the second image would be the back of the same postcard.

Research into an advertising campaign by the national trust.

When I was thinking about the forestry comission I started to think about who their rivals would be, one of the main competitors I could think of was the national trust.

What is a book?

2013

My exhibition is complete, I'm really proud of how it looks. My final books are scattered onto a table next to a seat encouraging people to take time to appreciate the books. Two of the books are about sitting down, so having a chair present with the work seemed the obvious thing to do. The book called "Take a Seat" is almost an instruction manual guiding the viewer/participant into the "reading" process. 

Glasgow!

I recently visited a couple of friends in Glasgow. I wanted to create an object that showed how memories can fade and be pieced together.

Site Project.

My favourite week!

The site project was a great opportunity to do something completely different. Kathy and I decided to collaborate with each other and created a project based around moss.

Last year I did a small project around Platt Fields park where I spread wild flower seeds around the park, but they were then mowed down by a man on a very scary lawn mower tractor hybrid. 

The site project was a response to our fear of the new building, we started by wanting to create moss graffiti  We experimented in the studio and painted the wall in between our studio spaces. We realised that before we were blending the moss we were carefully arranging it. 

After exploring university we found the specimen trays (originally a table top that we cut up)  we realised these fit perfectly into our locker!

It's gonna be good. It's gonna be infromative.
