EVE IS HOME!!! I'm sorry I haven't shared the whole happy ending because I know SO MANY of you poured your hearts out in our time of distress and you want to know! I'll share soon. I spent today shooting a wedding, running on energy shots, sleep deprived and full of worry until I heard the news. (Don't worry, I'm actually quite pleased with my images even though I was physically a disaster zone!) I flew back home to hug my baby girl. Tomorrow we celebrate our soon to be son. After the dust has settled I will properly thank everyone who impacted our search and experience. Know that you are all cherished in my heart right now and always! What I need to say right now is that I'm so touched to have seen the good in people's hearts through this process. So many people I barely know, people I've never met, people who don't know us from anyone else, gave of their time and their efforts and their hearts to help us bring our baby girl home. My heart is full, which feels so amazing after feeling like there was a huge hole for a short but horrible time. I made new friends and felt the love of our community in a major way. And I'm so thankful. To all of you. If I am a little out of touch in the near future, I am so sorry. Sharing from my personal account, @theknittedpug: We said goodbye to our sweet little girl unexpectedly around 1 o'clock this morning. Despite the strong fight she's been fighting, I brought her in with a bloated tummy that turned out to be obstruction from the cancer. We've done everything that seemed reasonable to help her fight, but this surgery would have been too much struggle with too dim a prognosis. Eric spent the whole time with me on video call, and my wonderful Seester @msmegabat made the late night trip to be with me. #Pandathepug was a truly special animal. She had the sweetest personality and was a #perfect #pug. The hole she leaves in our little fur family is immense. We trust her tiny soul to #Jehovah’s memory and we pray that his plan for paradise includes some of the sweet animal beings he has given us in his beatiful world. We're eternally grateful for all of the memories this girl gave us. As in 2 Samuel 12, she was "like a daughter" to us. Recovering from a sleeps night... This is our little guy who causes the most worry. Last night he spent the whole night panting and pacing and grumping around, and of course the internets got me all worried about often-fatal bloat, or gastric torsion. Couldn't sleep, even after an emergency vet reassured us it didn't sound like bloat. Finally he went back to normal and let his momma sleep at 5am.
