worm art

i've been listening to "elephant gun" by beirut a lot while i learn how to draw t rexes. it's a beautiful song, and makes me think about mortality. tyrannosauruses were once such lively, beautiful, terrifying animals, and like all animals, they died. the idea that something so massive and powerful could die seems almost impossible. and yet we can only know them from looking at the remains of their dead bodies.

the 2016 version 😭 it's crazy that this is a decade old now, i feel like i'm a completely different person but also i was that 16 year old once and he still lives inside my brain........ i am so so so SO glad that that part of my life is far behind me

this was my first attempt at a theri, the body is a lot more chicken-like and i gave it digitigrade feet when theris were most likely plantigrade...... also i gave it pronated wrists 😭 i still think it's cute but i'm much more proud of my recent attempt

i also hand-sewed bob the minion for my gf as a sock plushie but he turned out kinda awful LOL so i think for now i'm just posting opila hehe
