this is a message and apology from elijah regarding the situation with the zine. while the customer copies were sent, i must apologise for the fact that the contributor’s copies have still not been sent. truth of the matter is, i underestimated shipping costs, as most of the packages were a lot thicker than with volume 1 (which i had anticipated, but not to the extent it was) coupled with the post office going through strikes around the time i sent out the customer copies. this was my fault and mine alone.
this resulted in there not being enough money left to ship the artists and authors’ copies and also donate to charity. i did not donate the money that was left because i felt it better to hang on to it to be able to send their copies later. them getting a copy of the zine they worked so hard on was more important to me. however, i still have not been able to set aside enough money to be able to send them all. for the record, i have posted screenshots of costs and calculations for the contributors to see.
i regret not making this post sooner but everyone in the zine felt people need to know this, and i agree. all i can say is that i might be getting help sending their copies out, and accepting that help does make me feel some type of way, since all of this is entirely my fault, but what i want is for the contributors to have their zines, and for this to be done with. also, i am definitely not planning on making any more zines, if that can ease anyone’s worries. i am not asking anyone to forgive me, just know i acknowledge that i made a mistake and am truly very sorry.
