Nine P.M. at a restaurant half-full of whining, overstimulated, and exhausted little kids, youkai and human alike. Truly, the world’s most attractive place to visit, rated #1 by Time Magazine. But people came to the door from the hour the pizzeria opened to the hour the pizzeria closed, no matter what the current door-greeter thought about the whole situation.

“It’s just door duty, she said. It’s not even hard, she said. I’ll kick your butt if I see you anywhere near the back room, she said. Sheesh, it’s like she doesn’t even trust me to work the stage lights...”

... there are other reasons why nobody wants you unsupervised in the back room, Nue. A lot of other reasons. (Around thirteen, to be exact.)

“Ya~ay, we’re open again!”

“With a discount on 8-inch pizzas, no less!”

“Can I actually afford one now?”

“You’re never giving that one up, are you.”

“Closed for four straight months and there’s still a full line of people coming in? Our pizza can’t be that good.”

“Hey! I resemble that remark!”

“You suuuuuure do, kid.”

The young girl stares down at the smiling blonde doll in her hands, an unreadable expression on her face.

“Wh-Which one of you smartasses made this, huh?! C’mon, own up!” 

Nue, you really think any of your colleagues could have done this? Most of them aren’t allowed to work the cotton candy machine without supervision. That little Koishi doll isn’t the handiwork of anyone here, that’s for sure.
