Today or maybe tomorrow. Yesterday could of been a better day. Yet, at this hour I feel completely fine. Our story, yours and mine aren't alike. When we cry together our bedroom floors feels so close to one another. To no one alive today, I'm speaking to the children we pushed away when we forgot how to love ourselves. Hopefully our writing finds them in good health.

i can be selfish. i can be arrogant. i can be judgemental. and sometimes in the mirror i see a me that i don’t want to be. she’s the me who is scared of being overlooked. she’s the me who is scared of being forgotten. and she’s the me who is scared of disapproval. when i am led by fear i am led astray and i become someone else’s version of me. but i’ve found that when i act through love, it’s my better half that stares back at me.
