about a year ago HBO max and warnermedia released an open call for pitch submissions for short films from creators from any professional background. A professor of mine sent the link my way, and I submitted an original short story I had some WIP artwork for. i was sweating about it for a few months but i ended up hearing back.

they introduced me to different mentors and producers who managed a lot of the technical heavy lifting (reaching out to animation studios, marketing, budget management) so i got to focus on all of the creative production, including character design, background painting, and color scripting, among other things. even so it was really tough, especially since my professional experience is so limited. BUT in march it officially released on HBO max on the series Only You: An Animated Shorts Collection as episode 6: Aroon.

SO i'm not dead! BUT i was working on a short film for the past year called aroon. very tough for me, but i learned a lot and i'm happy to commemorate it with some illustration
