And suddenly from nowhere at all there is a large box, enough to fit one (1) living being inside. Out of it emerges... a living being! He looked exactly like an anonymous being (grey with shades), yet there was something strange about him. For one, there's the formal clothes. Also, nice clean short brown hair. Did I mention he had a portable recording device? This being was on a mission, and, well, unluckily, he stumbled across somebody who probably would not vibe with him very well.
"Hallo there, good sir! Do you have a second to talk?"

The sudden appearance of a large box earned little more than a slow blink from the sleepy demon. His gaze lingered on it for a moment as the stranger climbed out of the box
...Another odd day at Babyls, apparently.
Agares suppressed a yawn, folding his arms as he met the stranger's gaze.
"...That's one way to make an entrance."
His eyes briefly flicked back to the recording device before returning to the stranger.

My dear boss, Edmond Priser, called me into his office. I distinctly remember being greeted by the smell of burnt metal.
"Mr. Porter!" he greeted.
"Boss," I replied.
My boss directed my attention to the side of the room. There, I saw a machine. It was an eyesore. It was rusted, dirty, broken, and smelled of burnt metal. Ah, so that's what it was.
"Mr. Porter, I have chosen you for our latest gamble here at General Public's News. Allow me to explain. This here is a dimensional traveler," my boss explained.
"Alright," I responded.
"We are starting the INN, or inter-dimensional news network, and we need a newscaster. This newscaster will go around different dimensions, get to know people, and report back home."
"That wouldn't be the craziest thing ever for me. Let me guess, I'm being chosen for my record?"
My boss walked over to the machine and continued to explain, "While, yes, you do have an amazing record that I must congratulate you for, there is something else. You're part anon and part human. More anon than human, in fact. That allows you to sustain deadly injuries without dying. That's perfect because this machine would kill a normal person."
"I've heard of humans traveling dimensions before, what gives?"
"Well, we do not have the money to procure a more efficient one, nor the relations. So, I had the next best option come in, Chase Chance."
Oh hell no. I do not trust that idiot to make anything, let alone a time machine! However, it would be a good change of pace rather than visiting Silver or Sonic endlessly. Well, I can't die, so I might as well.
"Alright," I said, "I'll do it."
"Perfect! Chase also gave me a list of dimension coordinates so you can start whenever you feel like it. Happy traveling!"
"One more thing, boss. What about Pea?"
"You should leave him here at the office or at home with your wife. Wouldn't want anything bad to happen to him!"
"Oh, alright. I'll go tell them at home, then. Thank you, boss, goodbye."
"Goodbye, Mr. Porter!"
