"...!"
"That was sudden, but not entirely unwelcome."
"Although, I would prefer you to show up properly next time, if you do not mind it."
@dawnethekeeper
āGeneral! Surprise hug attack!ā
Dawne jumps on Valkaās back. Getting flipped over and put on the snow, she laughs and hugs the undead woman who probably is not amused with her antics.
āOh come on general Iām not hurt, I totally got youā¦ā
The silence is deafening.ļæ¼
āā¦Iām in trouble arenāt I?ā
"!"
"Ah, it's you."
*Valka shakes her head, and decides to let it slide.*
"I'm not mad. Just... don't do that again."
@captain-of-whiteridge
Good evening, General Valka.
I have a question for you, you do not have to answer this inquiry right away, but I wish to knowā¦
Have you considered ever reinstating your title as general? As the protector of Cedartown and of the Duchy of Whiteridge, whatever your choice may be, your decision will always be honored and respected.
-Captain Rodrigo
Ps. If you ever need a vacation, let me know. Iāll take over the duties. Every soldier deserves rest in a vacation. After 2000 years, you should consider one.ļæ¼
"I'm afraid that would not be possible, Captain Rodrigo. A Graveborn is ill-suited to be a General of the living."
"Even if I do not take the title, It is my duty to protect the people of this duchy. And I will not let the people down."
"I appreciate your offer for a vacation, however. Should the opportunity arrive, I will inform you."
@whitewolf-undeadexpert
Faramor is searching for Valka. He knows that she is a graveborn but is concerned. The first time he met her, he did not notice. But it has been bothering him.
Her hair is so messy, it could get caught on branches, not to mention she probably has not washed it in a while. He knew taking care of your hair was important. He maintained his everyday. Right before he left, he grabbed a hair brush, a comb, a bucket full of warm but not scalding water and some shampoo he had made himself. Herbs and berries could have many purposes. "šš¾šš¶ššš š¶š·ššš, š¼ š¶š ššššš¾šš š»šš šš½š¶š š¼ š¶š š¶š·ššš šš š¹š. š»šššššš, šš½š¾š šššš š·š š¹ššš."
When he found Valka in the field of flowers, he sighed. "š±š¶ššš¶. š¼ š¶š ššššš¾šš š»šš šš½š¶š š¾š š¶š·ššš šš ššøšøšš, š·šš š¼ šøš¶šššš š¾ššššš š¾š." He put all the items except the hair brush on the ground, "š«ššš¶šš, š¹š ššš- š»šš! ššš'š ššš! š¢šš š·š¶šøš š½ššš!"
She ran and he knew he would have to chase. So, off he went.
ā!ā
*And so, the chase beginsā¦*
*Will Faramor catch up to Valka? Stay tuned!*
"š±š¶ššš¶! š“ššš š½š¶š¾š šššš¹š šš š·š š·šššš½šš¹! šÆš½š¾š šššš¹š šš š½š¶š š šš! š®ššš ššššš¾šš!" Faramor shouted, as a wolf, he had a lot of stamina. So he was fully able to keep up the pace. He chased after her, following behind her and swiftly catching up. "šÆš½š¾šš š¶š·ššš šš½š ššš¶šš š¶šš¹ š½šš¶ššš½ šš» šššš š½š¶š¾š, ššššš šš¶š¹š! šŖšš¶š šššš, š¼ š¶š šššš š¶šš¶šš ššš š¶šš ššš¹šš šš½š¶š šš, š·šš š¾š š¾š š¶ šš¶šššš šš» š šš¾ššøš¾š šš!!!"
Faramor kept up the pace, but she was fast. Valka, was not fast enough. He managed to catch up with her, grabbing her and wrapping her in a blanket, burrito style. "šŖšš¶š, ššš'šš š½š¶š¹ šššš š»šš, ššš šøššš šš. šŖš½, š¶šš¹ š·šš»ššš š¼ š»ššššš..." He took her sword, put it on his back, and tutted.

Faramor said, carrying her back to where he put the supplies. He checked the hot water, it was still hot, but was a little bit cooler now. Good.

"I have been through the First Divine War, Faramor. Even if it is a matter of principle, there is no way you can call someone having existed for over two millennia 'young'."
*She was taken off guard when Faramor got her sword. Oh well, now she had to do as what this 'silly wolf' (she said that) wanted.*
"...Very well. Option one it is."
*Truth be told, Valka would rather do the job on her own, but... it seemed like the undead hunter was rather persistent.*
"š¼ šš¶š š·š š¶ šššš šš¾ššš šššš», š·šš š¼ šš¾šš š·š šš½š "šš¾ššš šššš»" š·šššš½š¾šš šššš š½š¶š¾š." He said before beginning to sit down, putting her hair in his lap. He first checked for parasites, setting out a bowl out to collect them. No lice, but a few ticks. This made him scowl.
"šÆš¾šøšš... šš½ššš šššš š ššš·š¶š·šš šøšš¶šššš¹ š»ššš š·šš¶ššøš½šš ššššš¾šš šš¶šššš½. š°ššš¶ššš š¾šš¶šøšš¾šš š¹ššš¾šš šš¾šššš." He picked each tick off and put them in a bowl. He then began applying the shampoo to Valka's hair. "š¼ š¶š ššššš¾šš š»šš šøš¶ššš¾šš ššš š¶ ššššš šš¶š¹š. š¼ š¶š š»šššš š¶šš¶šš ššš š¶šš šššøš½ ššš¹šš šš½š¶š šš."
He began removing the sticks and leaves that got stuck in the hair from the chase. 'šÆš½ššš š¶šš ššš¾šš.' He thought. He felt bad. Faramor then began to wet the brush in the bucket, and brushing the bottom of her hair. No mats which is good.
He brushes her hair and washes it. Gently, carefully. "šÆš½š¶š'š šš½š š½š¶šš» šš» šš½š š·ššššš š š¶šš."
"Ticks? Graveborns don't even have warmth, nor can they feed on us. Most of them would choose better targets."
*Still, Valka sat and just let Faramor take care of her hair.*
*She didn't seem to be surprised by the mention of twigs, however. Given how her hair is very long, as well as the fact that she goes on patrol often, that's... expected to happen.*
*Well, maybe having her hair brushed out wasn't that bad.*
āšÆš¾šøšš šøš¶š ššš¶š šš š¹šš¶š¹ š·šš¹š¾šš š»šš š¶ šš¾šššš š·š¾š, šš¾šš š±š¶ššš¶. š“šš šš¶š ššš š·š š¶šš¾šš, š·šš šššāšš šš¶šš šššššš½ ššš šøš¶š šøš¶ššš šš½šš šš¾šš½ššš šš½šš š»ššššš¾šš šš š¹šš¶šš½. šÆš½š šššš¾š¹šššš šš» ššš¹š¶ššššš, š¶šš š¶šš¾šš š¶šš¹ ššššš¶ššš šš½šš¾š š»ššš¹ šššššøš. š¼ š·ššš¾ššš ššš šøššš»ššš šš½š šš¾šøšš š¾š šššš šøš¶š š¶šøš¾šš.ā
He removed them, crushing them effortlessly and then putting them in a separate bowl. He made sure to be careful when dealing with them. Once all the ticks had been carefully removed, thankfully there werenāt too many of them, Faramor continued brushing.
ļæ¼
āšÆš½š¶š, šš½šššš¹ š·š š¶šš šš» šš½šš. ššš¹ š ššš¶šš š¹š ššš š»š¶ššš šššššššš», šš¾šøšš š¶šš ššš¾šš ššššš·šššššš šøššš¶ššššš.ā
He continues brushing, being very careful as to not tug or damage her hair. He believed Valka confused the ticks in a way, because while her heart may beat, she wasnāt one of the living. So, if his theory was right, the warmth of her heart may have drawn the tick, but the minute they got on her skin is the minute, they might have stopped getting their tracks.
āš¢ššš¹ šššš, šš½š š·ššššš š š¶šš šš» šššš š½š¶š¾š š¾š š·šššš½šš¹. šÆš½š š·š¶š¹ šššš? šÆš½ššš š¾š šššøš½ š½š¶š¾š šš½š¶š šššš¹š šš š·š š¹šš¶šš šš¾šš½ š¾š šššøšš¾ššš. š²š½š¾šøš½ šš¾šš šš¶šš šššššš. š²šššš¹ ššš šš¾šš šš šš¶šš š¶ šššššš šš ššššššøš½ šššš šš¾šš·š?ā
This was going well and he was relieved that the first section of hair was brushed with ease. The other sections would not be as easy, but he would try to be very gentle as he possibly could.
"In theory, that would be unnecessary."
"But it would be nice. You need a break too, don't you?"

Valka Valka!! Is Merlin coming back to Whiteridge anytime soon?
I don't know about you, but it sure has been a good while since they came to Whiteridge!!!!! I miss playing with them, they were the definition of a good time!!!
Can't we invite them back here??? I miss the fun we had, it felt like it was yesterday...
@mad-daggerrrrrrrrrr
"Indeed, it's been a while."
"Merlin has been really busy though, so they can't visit us now."
"Since they can't return to Whiteridge, why don't you write a letter to them? They would appreciate it."
*There is a strange sound behind Igor. Then, comes a sound of someone clearing their throat. On sight, that is a tall woman wearing a mask and a cloak. Behind her is a portal. Though hard to see behind the mask, her gaze seems stern.*
"...Igor."
*It's Valka.*
*She takes off her disguise after making sure nobody is around. Arms crossed, she looks straight at him.*
"I told you not to caper around in human settlements! If it hadn't been for someone telling me you have gone away from Cedartown, I wouldn't have been able to find you."
*Valka then looks around, taking in the unfamiliar scene. Her brows furrow.* "How did you get here anyway?"
@general-valka
(Good ol' Igor was just done capering around Tuttleton for a good long long long long LONGGGG while until he got bored and started wandering around again. It felt like it's been months since he's been stuck in here. He felt like all hopes was lost until he heard someone speaking. He turned around.)
Is- Is that-
GASP VALKAAAAAA!!! IT'S VALKAAA!!!!
(realisation hit) Wait- WAIT AAAAAAAAAAA CRAP IT'S VALKAAAAAA!!
WAIT NO PLEASE I WAS BORED IN CEDARTOWN SO I TOOK A STROLL TO SEE COOL THINGS BUT ENDED UP IN A DARK AND WEIRD LOOKING PLACE AND ENDED UP HERE AND I ONLY WANT TO FIND FUN THINGS TO DO I'M SO SORRY I MISSED YOU GUYS SO MUCH PLEASE DON'T BE MAD AT ME PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE-
"Igor, do you know how worried I was when I heard you disappear from town? What if you get caught by other undead hunters?"
"...nevermind. At least I found you now."
"Come on, let's hurry back home first. This place does not feel safe."
*She gestures to the portal which she came out of, before dragging Igor with her. A proper explanation will be needed later, but for now, safety first.*
[Continuation from here, @wrenthemoralfander. The previous thread is getting long and making a new post will be easier to navigate.]
*Surprise was written on Valka's face, upon hearing all those stories. She remembered the agreement, but then Azurella told her she hadn't had a choice, so the general's expression softened a fraction. She decided to not pry.*
*Then came the topic change, which she didn't mind. She sat down with the magister then, not that she needed to rest though - Graveborns didn't need to. She looked at Azurella, and nodded.*
"I would like to know. Do tell, if it doesn't trouble you."
"I was raised by Graveborn. His name He told me Graveborn are not bound by life but they either respect the rules of life or they just do not care. He meant Graveborn are not bound by one path of life, being they can choose their own path. The other part is that Graveborns do not follow the goddess of life, Dura. Except Carolina. He raised me, taught me how to wield wild magic." She chuckled. "However... he left. Turns out he caught the Syndicate's attention, and disappeared. But he isn't dead... the spell tracker would have just turned off, instead of loading continuously. Considering Professor Callistaur is a graveborn, the spell has a hard time tracking him so it loads. If he were dead, it would just show the name and the words would spell deceased. I do not have the heart to turn it off because I have hope he's still out there."
She chuckles. "He... uh, also taught me to know the dead do not particually need to lie, for they do not see much reason to. Doesn't mean they can't but generally... the dead... crud, what did he say? I cannot recall anymore... And now, I will wonder what he said. Ugh! Like it's not a super big deal, but... it's frustrating." Azurella rolled her eyes, "Sorry, getting sidetracked. Anyways, he worked as a detective before he disappeared. Helping solves crimes, saving innocent lives, exposing truth... it felt right."
*Valka listened, surprise on her face but it quickly faded. People raised (raised as in guardian-child, not raised from the dead) by Graveborns were rare, after all.*
"I see. I take it that he's an important individual in your life, and you must value him a lot."
"I can tell you have learned a lot from him."
"The Adamant Syndicate... the name always spells trouble."
"I hope one day you will be able to see him again, Azurella."

*Well, maybe having her hair brushed out wasn't that bad.*
@whitewolf-undeadexpert
"š“šš šš¶š š½š¶šš šš½š¾š š·š¶šøš šššøš šššš š½š¶š¾š š¾š š·šššš½šš¹ š¶šš¹ š šššš¾š·šš šš¶šš½šš¹. šæš¾šššš, š¼ š½š¶šš š½šš¶šš¹ šš½š šš¾šš¾šššš š¶šš¹ šš¶šš¾ššššš š¶šš š¾š» šš½šš šøš¶š š·šš¶š¾š¹ šššš š½š¶š¾š, š·šš šššš š½š¶š¾š šøš¶šššš š·š š·šš¶š¾š¹šš¹ š¹šš šš š½šš šš¶šššš¹ š¾š š¾š." Faramor said, carrying her back to where he put the supplies. He checked the hot water, it was still hot, but was a little bit cooler now. Good.
"š±š¶ššš¶. š“ššš š½š¶š¾š šššš š·š š·šššš½šš¹. š®š š¼ šš¾šš šš¾šš ššš šš½ššš šš šš¾ššš šš š½šš ššš šš¶šš šš½š¾š šš š·š š¹ššš..."
He take a moment to sit down, gently holding her hair to not harm her. "šŖš šš¾šš ššš, š“šš ššššššš šš šš¾šš½ šššš š½š¶š¾š šššš¶ššššš. š¼ šš¾šš šš¶šš šš šš¾šš, š·šš¾šš š¶š šššššš š¶š š¶šššššš¹. š¼ šøš¶š š šššš¾šš šš½š ššš¶šš š¶ššššš šš» š š¶š¾š. š¼ šøš¶šššš š šššš¾šš šš š š¶š¾š š·šš š¼ šøš¶š š šššš¾šš šš ššš šš š·š š¶š šššššš š¶š š šššš¾š·šš, šš¾šš¶ššš šš¾ššš¾šš. šŖš šš¾šš ššš... š¾š š·š¶šš¾šøš¶ššš šš šš¾šš ššš š·šš ššš šøš¶š š½š¶šš ššššššš ššš ššššš, š¶ š»šš¾ššš¹, š¶ šš¶šš¾šššš š¶ššš¾šš š¾š» ššš š¹š ššš š»šššš ššššš šš šš š¹š š¾š. š¼ šš¾šš šš ššš šš½šš š»šš ššš. š©šš, šš šš¾šš šš½ššš... ššš šš¾šš ššš šš¾šš."

A letter arrives, itās from Magister Azurella. Thereās a little bit of flour on the edge of the envelope. The letter is untouched by the flour.
Dear Valka,
Hey! So Iām stopping by for a week or two. I⦠Look itās been stressful these past few days and Iām not gonna lie to you, I just wanna relax. Plus I miss you guys. Iām making ravioli and I wanna know if youād be willing to try it⦠If not, thatās fine. I know, I know, you donāt need to eat. However, Iām making this by hand and I havenāt made it in⦠a long while! I feel so embarrassed lol. So⦠Iām gonna need someone to test it. On the bright side, itāll be fun to make ravioli again!
I would ask how everyoneās been, but I figured I can ask when I get there, I will ask, though⦠if youād be willing to teach me how to sword fight. I know Iām technically a mage! However, magic will only take me so far. And I would prefer to learn from none other than the coolest knight ever! (Thatās you!)
Speaking of which, howās training going? I imagine itās been a little challenging, but not too challenging. Remember, you fought in the divine war. Donāt doubt yourself as a general. Like, mom, youāre doing fine! Hope to see you soon,
-Azurella (@wrenthemoralfander)
In that moment, she did not notice she had said Mom and not maāam. Azurella sends out the letter, hoping it reaches the general.
*Valka notices the flour on the envelope. āThe letter must have been written while Magister Azurella was making something in the kitchenā, she thinks. Carefully, she opens it, and reads the content inside.*
*A small smileāsubtle, but thereāappears on her lips as she reads it. Though the last words did catch her off-guard a little.*
āDid she just call me āmomā?ā
āIt must be a mistake. Maybe I shouldnāt mention it.ā
*The general then writes a reply to the magister:*
āDear Magister Azurella,
It is a pleasure to hear that you would come to Whiteridge soon. You are correct that us Graveborns do not need to eat, but it wonāt hurt to try out a friendās cooking. However, I wonāt be able to judge your cooking correctly, as our kind taste food differently than the living.
Of course, if you want, I would teach you some sword fighting. The sword, im fact, is much lighter than it looks. Therefore, you donāt have to worry about strength upon learning itāit even requires much less muscle strength than a bow.
As for training, it has never been easy, though you get used to it after some time. Still, reading your words of affirmation, the hardships seem to dissolve. I am truly grateful for it.
Looking forward to your visit,
Your friend,
Valka.ā
*The letter is then put inside an envelope, and sent to Magister Azurella.*
(My first time rping on a blog, nervous.)
Azurella stepped out the door of the carriage, paid the driver, and nod as they left back for Holistone. Admittedly she was eager to feel the snow on her face. She pulled out the basket of food and carried it to Cedartown.
A letter teleported in front of her, Valkaās response. Wonderful. Azurella grabbed the letter and Reddit. She was grateful that Valka was willing to try the food, even if the way food was tasted was different. The generalās response to a chance of sword fighting lessons made her jump with joy and the line about Swords requiring less strength than a bow, caught her off guard a little. āHuh, thatās interesting⦠I didnāt know a sword required less strength than a bow.ā
She chuckled, using her magic to put the letter away and made her way to Cedartown. āValka!! I got your letter⦠actually, I donāt think sheād be in this area???This is near Faramorās cabin and I have no clue where sheās gonna pop up so maybe I shouldnāt yell her name.ā She mumbled to herself.
Azurella kept on, hoping to make it to town, until shared a cracking bunny for feet. The bridge that would normally lead to Cedartown broke. Azurella stumbled, but didnāt fall on ice. She smiles and fixes it with magic. āThat would have been bad. Thankfully, I am fine and so is the food. Itās still very very hot but it is starting to cool down a little. I need to hurry or itās gonna get cold.ā
*Fortunately, Valka was on patrol, and she happened to come across Azurella on her way.*
āI did not expect you to return so quickly. Did the snow cause any hindrances on your way?ā
āRegardless, Iām glad to see you again, Azurella. Would you like to talk on the way, or would you prefer to rest first?ā
Azurella smiled, āValka!ā She waved. Azurella wanted to offer the general a hug, but she didnāt think was a good idea.
āNo trouble, just, again itās been a really rough few weeks. Got here faster than I actually expected, although to be fair, I just teleported the carriage close to Cedartown, with permission from the carriage driver,ā she chuckles, before continuing. āThe snow? It didnāt hinder me though⦠The bridge into town is starting to break. One of the wooden steps broke as I was walking. I-I fixed it, that way no one else in.ā Azurella didnāt really feel nearly falling bothered her, she was just more worried about who else could accidentally get hurt so she fixed the bridge. In her mind, it wasnāt a big deal.
Azurella used her magic to shield the food, keeping it warm, the bubble now floating in the air. āI will be honest, Iām fine to do whatever. How have you been? Allās been well since the last time I saw you?ā
Azurella smiled warmly as if talking to family. She just chatted, taking a moment to stretch before following her friend. āSo, Valka, question, because I was very distracted while cooking when I sent the letter. I didnāt write anything super Duper embarrassing, did I??? I mean, itās okay if I did,ā she chuckled, though admittedly Azurella was trying to keep her composure from dying of amusement and partial embarrassment, ābut you would let me know if I did, right?ā
Suddenly, she had stopped to stare at a snowman, like trying to remember something. There was a look of calm and confusion? However, she quickly shook her head, and kept going. āSorry, didnāt mean to get sidetracked.ā Azurella apologized and continued walking. āAnyways, thereās so much I wanna tell you aboutā¦ā
*Valka nodded, listening to Azurella's every word.*
"Ah, the bridge has shown signs of deteriorating for a while. I heard people in town are going to fix it soon, but it seems you did them a favor."
"Everything has been well so far. In fact, it has never been better, ever since after the First Divne War."
"As for your letter, well..."
*Valka hesitated, not sure if she wanted to tell Azurella or not.*
"...you did call me 'mom' in it. But don't worry, it's not a big deal."
*She follows Azurella's gaze, and saw the snowman too. She noticed the expression on the magister's face, but decided to not pry, instead kept on walking with her.*
"Do tell me anything you wish to. I'm all ears."
Azurella paused. Her expression shifting. āHold on.ā She used her magic to teleport the letter in front of her. She read it again, before reading āLike, mom, youāre doing fine!ā
She silently cursed under her breath. Not just because she had accidentally said mom and not maāam, but because now, she was either gonna have to admit feelings that are far too complicated right now, or she was gonna have to be like that was just an oversight and then scream into a pillow later on. Now, realistically, she could probably get away with the second one, but Azurella is not the best liar. And while, technically not a lie, omitting things and repressing feelings was not something she liked doing.
āOh my goodness.ā She thought. āSo, I meant maāam. That was written in a rush. I am, so⦠embarrassed.ā
āI can tell itās sent in a rush, so I understand. Itās fine.ā
*Valka then decided to change the topic, for the sake of Azurellaās embarrassment. Words didnāt seem to suffice for calming her, the general thought.*
āYou⦠did mention wanting to learn sword fighting, didnāt you? If you want, we can start today, or any time you prefer.ā
āIt might not require a lot of raw muscle strength, but a lot of practice is still needed. We will go your pace, so tell me if you are too tired.ā
Azurella was grateful she didnāt have to explain it. When her inquiry about learning sword fighting was brought up, nodded. She would like to learn some sword fighting. āThanks Valka, I appreciate that.ā
She paused, wondering when the perfect time to start with us. Probably not after lunch. She would like to start tomorrow. āIf you havenāt much work to do, I wouldnāt mind tomorrow.ā
Azurellaās white hair was adjusted, moved away from her face so she could see where she was walking. It wasnāt as long as Valkaās, but it was long by normal standards.
Azurella looked at Valka, āHow are the people reacting to the Graveborn, now that everythingās been cleared up, and thereās more trust built?ā She asked this mainly because Cedartown when she left, had learnt to be accepting of Graveborn. Azurella hoped the people had learned to be more accepting over time. She couldnāt completely dissipate peoples fears and doubts, but she could hope.
Azurella looked at Valka and paused, āYou do not have to answer that one if you donāt want to or feel as if you donāt have an answer yet.ā
āYes, tomorrow would do. I will be at Sorrowfall Lake, so come whenever you prefer.ā
āAs of how humans treat us nowā¦ā
āIām glad you asked. Things have been betterāsome are still not used to it, but most people have viewed us in a different light now.ā
āThey start to greet us when we meet them, and we can come to town at times too.ā
āHow are things on your end, Azurella? Has everything been well for you too?ā
āThings have been stressful⦠So, after we left Cedartown, I met an envoy from the Empire. Yes the lightbearer Empire. Basically they thought there was a coup forming in Brimstone Village. Commander Hogan of Hollistone, you met one of his soliders, Temesia, we were sent undercover to investigate. Anyway, we get there and everything seems fine. I had to secretly explore the mines, but I accidentally fell deeper than I should. I meet Zanie who is not for what is going on. She takes me down a path which leads to an underground place.ā
āSalāThorin.ā
Azurella pauses before explaining meeting Indris and learning about the Essali. She then explains that there was no coup, but dwarves were trying to revive their God, Helthor. Azurella also explained about the divine dew and how it was suppressing things all due to a curse from Misarte.
She then also went on to explain that, they all were infected by hypogean magic. āSaida was created from Hypogean corruption and divine power. After the Sylvan Egg was revealed to be corrupted, Misarte sacrificed part of her power and split the egg in two. One hidden under Ivorystead and one in SalāThorin, which I had purified.ā
āWe⦠then had to deal with a very angry primordial dragon. Fun times!ā
It wasnāt fact, not a fun time, but she was making light of the situation. Azurella wondered if Valka knew why she agreed to the graveborn so readily. It was an off-topic thought, but it was a good way to change the subject if needed.
She was getting kind of hungry though⦠but not hungry enough to stop what she was doing.
*Valka listens tʔvery word intently. Two millennia of existence does make her less prone to being surprised, but there are still things she does not expect to hear.*
āA primordial dragon? And the Essails used her eggs to create the Divine Dew to suppress the curse?ā
āI get why the dragon was mad. Seeing your offsprings get destroyed like that, no mother would be able to bear it.ā
āStill, itās a good thing you are doing fine now.ā
*Valka notices how Azurella is trying to make the situation lighter that what it actually was,but she doesnāt press. Instead, she just nods, and keeps on listening to the Magister should she want to tell more.*

āThey start to greet us when we meet them, and we can come to town at times too.ā
āHow are things on your end, Azurella? Has everything been well for you too?ā
