Things that I've literally said to my family
Me: I'm not a boy.
Me: I don't understand boys.
Me: Nope, still not a boy.
Mother: *asks something about the way boys solve a problem*
Me: idk, I'll ask a boy if I find one.
Btw, they don't get it.
About Finnish school.
Just saying’, where I come from, we weren't even allowed to use our phones in our classroom and here it’s likeÂ
“Yeah, you gotta bring your Laptop and your Phone, we need it.”
Let’s just ignore the fact that it’s currently raining outside and let’s talk about Finnish winter.
In the beginning it’s not that bad.
You have a few minus degrees, your wear long underpants and have some snow.
AND THEN SUDDENLY YOU HAVE A WEEK OF -20°C - -30°C AND YOU CN’T BREATHE OUTSIDE WITHOUT TEN SCARFS IN FRONT OF YOUR MOUTH AND NOSE AND JUDGEMENT RAINS DOWN FROM THE HEAVENS
And then it’s okay again.
But it’s not only the cold.
It’s the darkness.
Also, the thing itself isn’t that bad, in Middle to Southern Finland you have about 5 hours of light, which is enough if you have a bottle of Vitamin D in your fridge (Or something similar, I’m serious).
But it’s not the amount of sunlight that f*cks you,Â
it’s the fact that it ALWAYS looks like late evening.
Ah yes, and when you have to go to school, you’re not going to see any sunlight, because it’s dark when you go there and when you leave.
I hope you enjoyed this small exploration into Finnish lives.
And then there’ that one week, when every single surface you walk on is slippery as fuck and tries to kill you, and it’s actually warm like 3 degrees, and you don’t know which coat to put on.
Yeah, forgot that one, thanks for reminding me!

I’m Back!
(Hopefully)
Well, here we go again - Everything has been solved in one way or another and after a couple of weeks I finally got to a new family!
I hope that I will have the time and motivation to keep blogging here but let’s hope so!
Hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää!
Happy Independence Day, Finland!Â
Just a piece of my mind... #3
Well, after all this I have another big quest.
I have to learn how to be a girl.
All these things that girls learned since they’re little.
I will have to learn them now.
Except the whole Period-Stuff.
That’s good.
With holidays coming up and all, I wanted to share this:
A Christmas ad by one of the biggest electronics stores in Finland, featuring a non-binary, feminine presenting teen spending Christmas with their family.
Sitting on a chair, with everyone else playing with their presents around them, they look uncomfortable and self-aware. Their also-awkward-looking dad gives them a present and when they open it (hesitantly): surprise! There’s a hair curler/straightener! The dad smiles to his kid and the kid smiles back. Everybody’s happy.
Then the ad closes off with a text that says “Anna lahjan puhua” which can be translated to “Let your gift speak [for you]”
What I want to say is that media can change. Media will change. You are perfect and loved, just the way you are.
Happy holidays everybody
For everyone who needs some positivity during the holidays
Omg, this was made for this blog!
Update-thingy
I’m currently in a crisis (kinda).
I had many conflicts with my host-family lately which often led to me being depressed and I hadn't any motivation to do anything.
Now it’s getting better as I will change my family soon but you probably won't hear much of me in the near future, but I will keep this blog alive and I will continue to write about that strange country in the north and how my gender gets in the way of everything.
On a brighter note: I finally got to wear my new clothes as girl and I felt so happy and confident with myself :)
Anyways thank y’all for the support so far and see you soon!

Just a piece of my mind... #2
I really want to wear my first girls’ clothes the first time, but I haven't been a girl since I bought them and I don't want to wear them as a guy...
Winter
Going to school in the morning:
Coming home from school:
Could I have said it better?
Nope.
This is perfect.
Most Finnish thing I've seen today
I just bought my first skirt and pair of tights (゚▽゚)
And the gender of the day is...
I have no f*cking idea.

A couple of days ago some friends of mine from another town were joking about how they are going to dress up as girls on Christmas and I was just sitting in my closet and it felt really weird.
Also sorry that I haven't been posting that much lately!

Go back home
