May turned her back for one moment only to witness her Growlithe showering someone with affection... “Ah-sorry ‘bout that! Usually, Growlithe isn’t all that affectionate around strangers but you seem to be the exception.” she lifted the fire-type off of the stranger, evidently frazzled by the rowdy Growlithe’s shenanigans.

 “Ah--!” she shielded her eyes from the bright light. “Hey, watch where you shine that light of yours!”

 “So I may or may not have shut myself off from the rest of the world for the past week or so. I promise it wasn’t because of the insufferable heat or anything. I had some...important matters to attend to...” Binge-watching your favorite t.v programs was totally a legitimate reason, right?  

“Someone, anyone...Please...I can’t handle this many Espurr...!” so a bunch of Espurr have been following the brunette around for the past couple of hours. Now they’re burying the poor girl before she could even tell them to scram. She could really use some help right now. 

Now that she’d captured an excessive amount of selfies and photos, May was finally satisfied. She planned on making a scrapbook in the near future. Hopefully, he’ll appreciate it.  “Thanks for bein’ patient with me, dad. I just--I dunno... I kinda felt like takin’ some pictures of us. I cherish the time we spend together, especially since I don’t really see you in person all that often...”

“Oh. My. Arceus. Please tell me you didn’t eat that tamato berry!” 

“Yeah, it’s nothin’ complicated. Just a normal picture,” she held out her phone until she found a flattering angle of the two and proceeded to take a pic. “Ooh, this one turned out better than I expected. Isn’t it nice?”

She snapped over a dozen photos of her father. “Alright! Now let’s take a quick selfie together!”
