It should be pretty obvious why Spinel didn’t join with the Crystal Gems, because she’s a character who won’t have much of an impact when the show returns, and this tends happen quite a bit in movies, a new character is introduced that the audience has never seen or heard of before and then near end of movie they’re whisked away conveniently so they won’t be much in the series proper, only occasionally showing up at most.

Also its pretty funny how the message of the movie wasn’t like how, Spinel should be independent, instead Steven just hands her off the diamonds so he doesn’t have to deal with her. funny, haha.

The Steven universe movie could have been decent

Alas, the crew keeps trying to avoid anything truly bad happening to their villains. Honestly its really kind of a waste. But I do know one thing if there is one thing to know.

Jasper: Could’ve been developed on more in so many episodes but is instead wasted and shelved till the very end of the Homeworld arc like why.

Wow what a great use of a character that should’ve been TOLD Rose was Pink Diamond and has been dealing with the ‘death’ of her leader for so long!

Homeworld was such wasted potential it’s unbelievable.

The lack of exploring and showing off the place, it’s like they couldn’t think of a way to world-build.

Anything that’s not Beach City has limited world-building and that’s just such a bad thing.

We could’ve had people on Homeworld REACTING to Steven being pink diamond, people hating him for being a diamond, or even have him walk among the populace of the place, but nooooo, baby jail for Steven!

Homeworld might as well have been an rpg map minus the town because it’s final boss point and such a waste. Like it really doesn’t get as deep as it should and feels like a wasted amount of time and rushed conclusions.
