10.26.2015: This is the pocket watch necklace that I'm making specifically for myself. I picked out the ephemera that I wanted and found this saved this mirror locket in my personal collection. Sometimes it takes a while for me to get started on projects that I'm going to keep because I like picking pieces that speak to me. But this necklace is turning out quite well and I like where it's going. Galaxy s5

10.25.2015: It's finally beginning to feel like Fall. Hopefully the rain starts up soon. Cowie & I are liking it not super hot in my room during the afternoons. Galaxy s5

10.24.2015: I made these out of Tom Holtz game spinners and various gears that I had from TH and others. I use these for focal accents or centerpieces for necklaces. Galaxy s5, PicsArt

A lot of times, I need to gently move the kitties off of the couch in my office so I can use it. Then after I move them, they come back to sit on and with me. They love this room in the afternoons. Galaxy s5

This necklace has a base of diagonal peyote stitch in Size 11 seed beads: Silver - gold-lined color 378D and matte gold, color 318U. I used Russian Leaf pattern to start the design and just expanded it to a necklace length. The elements include a vintage bird charm, actual watch gears & cogs, reproduction keys, rose montees and a contemporary locket. The bead ribbon actually took less time to stitch up than sewing on the elements. I suppose it was because I didn't have a clear plan for the design. And after looking at small shiny things for 4 hours, my eyes are shot. I think next time I'll use a matte bead for the ground and a shiny accent bead. All in all, I really like how this necklace turned out.

It seems that I have a lot of needles for crochet and several Tatting needles as well. Galaxy s5
