The girls were sprawled on the couch, Gem on a Stark Pad and Ini cycling through her mp3 player, one earphone in her ear, the other in Gem's. They glanced up at Falcon's return. Neither offered him a greeting.
"Did you hear something?"

They were more than a little upset Natasha had just up and disappeared on mother's day, even more so when Falcon just left without so much as an offer to help. Oh Falcon's mother was dead? Boohoo, so was theirs, didn't excuse him abandoning them in their time of need.

let's do a weird headcanon thing.
1. what they smell like: The twins were trained not to wear perfume by Scorpio because it would compromise them during missions, so they no longer wear it. Now their scent is more delicate, a light citrus of their body wash with a lingering aroma of lilac from their shampoo. 2. how they sleep (sleeping position, schedule, etc): Gem and Ini cannot sleep if they aren't together; they usually wind up in a mess of limbs tangled together with one another. 3. what music they enjoy: Codename: Heroes is their current obsession, followed closely byOne Direction. They have a wide taste in music though, and tend to listen to just about anything. 4. how much time they spend getting ready every morning: Their bathroom in either living arrangement, both with Virgo and Scorpio, aren't made to accommodate two people but that doesn't stop them from trying. They will shower together, but instead of fighting over who gets the mirror they usually end up doing each other's hair and makeup. Give them an hour or two to be fully ready. 5. their favorite thing to collect: They like to collect jewelry, but their favorite pieces are the homemade ones given to them by Virgo. They might not be as fancy, but they love their teeth-charms and eyeball-rings. 6. left or right-handed: Right handed 7. religion (if any): None 8. favorite sport: Pole Dancing They like volleyball, surprising enough. 9. favorite touristy thing to do when traveling: Gemini takes loads of selfies in front of the different tourist traps and they tend to buy a bunch of gaudy shit from street vendors. Their wall at Virgo's place is covered in pictures of them at all the different places they've been. 10. favorite kind of weather: Just on the cusp of summer and fall, where the temperature is just cooling off and the air is crisp and fresh with the scent of fallen leaves, with not a cloud in the sky. 11. a weird/obscure fear they have: Being separated from one another, being burned alive, being locked in small places, not being identical

The pair exchanged an almost pitying glance with one another. Oh he knew exactly what he was doing, especially coming aorund them like this. And they were more than happy to oblige.
Ini and Gem responded to the half-assed push by pressing flush up against him. Gem's fingers curled in his hair as she expanded where she was petting him. Ini pressed up on her toes, angling his face towards her, barely an inch from his lips. She smiled.
"Really, you knew it would lead to this, didn't you?"

He’d opened his mouth, ready to speak, but the next thing he knew they were a torrent of rushed words and squeals, and he was being backed against the wall. ||

He was purring, goddamn if that wasn't the most endearing thing the twins ever witnessed. They really oughtn't be so infatuated with Clint, seeing as he technically was their father.
But, really, he was so different from Falcon he was like an utterly different person. And it wasn't like Falcon was their father by blood.
"What a good kitty," Ini cooed, her other hand coming under his chin and rubbing gently. "You shouldn't speak like that."
