Syo drifted his gaze over to Satsuki and saw his pink cheeks. It was actually kind of nice to see Satsuki have this kind of reaction. It made Syo happy. But of course, he was also a little embarrassed as well.

Syo’s entire body nearly jumped up in shock when Satsuki intertwined their fingers. He almost couldn’t believe that Satsuki actually just did something like that. His heart felt like it was going to burst out of his chest, but not in a bad feeling kind of way.

“Sorry…” Syo apologized and let go. “And sorry for clinging. Guess it’d be hard to walk like that.” So instead, Syo held onto Satsuki’s hand.

“It’s fine.” He responded, walking with Syo and lacing their fingers together just to make him happy. He wasn’t sure why, but he liked seeing the other smile.

“Y-You don’t have to word it like that! I just didn’t want you to leave!” he shouted. But yes, in a way, Satsuki was correct.

“Then at least tell me so I’m not worried they got stepped on or whatever. I’m heading back. Are ya gonna stop clinging to my chest so I can walk?” 

“Oh, in that case, I picked them up after they were knocked off your face,” he said. “I didn’t want them to get damaged or anything since they were technically your guys’ first engagement ring.”

“Why didn’t you just say that in the first place? Holdin me hostage or somethin?” Satsuki responded, a bit irritated with Syo’s answer. What a little shithead.

“I-I can’t do it if you leave, stupid!” Syo shouted as he clung to Satsuki. “Let’s go back to our dorm. I want privacy.”

“I literally just said I’m finding my glasses and heading back. Doesn’t mean I’m leaving.” 

“I know that,” he knew it all too well. “But I wanna be affectionate with you. You don’t have to be affectionate back, I know it’s hard for you.”

“Well then don’t announce it. Just do it. I’m finding my glasses and heading back.” 

“Why so surprised?” he asked lowering his feet back flat. “I just… really want affection from you, okay?”

“I’m not the affectionate type. That’s more of Natsuki’s style..” 

Syo slowly ascended on his tiptoes and placed a soft, gentle kiss on Satsuki’s lips.

Satsuki was once again shocked by the kiss, not sure why he expected any other reaction from the other. 

“I told you that pushing me away won’t benefit anyone….” Syo pressed his forehead against Satsuki’s chest. “….heart’s beatin’ pretty fast for someone that doesn’t wanna do nothin’.”

“My hearts beating fast because I just beat the shit out of someone and then got into a verbal argument. Not because of you.” He denied. 

“Glasses?!” Syo jumped and grabbed at Satsuki’s shirt. “You can’t leave yet! I thought… I thought we were gonna… do something….” Syo didn’t want to sound to disappointed or god forbid, needy, but it sure came out that way.

“Don’t you sound awfully needy.” Satsuki responded. “I never said we were. I don’t know where you got that impression. I kissed you to shut you up.” 

“I-It just reminds me of them and what happened,” he said uneasy. “Please, just stop saying it. It’s gonna make me panic.”

Satsuki just sighed, shaking his head. “Well, whatever. Where are my glasses?” He asked, searching around with a bit of an irritated expression. 

“Fine, fine, I was joking anyway. Just please don’t call me that,” he said becoming uncomfortable. “I’d be willing to go anywhere that you want to. Just don’t… talk like those guys, okay?”

“If I call ya a slut, it’s nothing like those assholes. You don’t go sleepin with others. Yer my slut and that’s how it stays.” He responded, a bit irritated at being compared to those douchebags. 

“Says who?” Syo pouted. “The world knows that Natsuki and I got married. It wouldn’t be weird or anything. B-Besides, maybe I want more than a kiss too. Maybe I want you to wreck me. I don’t care if it’s outside in public.” But the police might.

“You really are a slut. I’m not fuckin ya right in the middle of the goddamn street. That’s illegal and we’ll both get arrested.” Satsuki responded. “I ain’t trynna explain that to Natsuki either.” 

Syo was a little shocked that Satsuki wanted to keep kissing him. It wasn’t a bad shock, but a good one. He loved Satsuki with all of his heart even if he was pushed away over and over and hurt more times than he’d like to admit. Syo wanted Satsuki to be the only one aside from Natsuki that could touch him. Only he and Natsuki were allowed to kiss him, hold him, and occasionally be rough with him. “Thank you… for protecting me….”

“If ya wanna keep kissing me we can’t be in public.” 

“Dumbass!” Syo shouted as he pulled Satsuki into a kiss. “It hurts more to be pushed away, ya know. Yeah, I’ll be sad as fuck when you disappear, but I’m crushed when you push me away.”

Deciding he didn’t want to fight anymore, he returned the kiss, pulling him right back. Something in him absolutely hated fighting with Syo. Maybe it was Natsuki, Maybe it was his own feelings. He wasn’t sure. 

“But still… I want to love you while I can,” he said. “We should be making every second count. Don’t you think so?”

“No. It’ll only bring pain to those who don’t deserve it. I have a single purpose in this life. Once it’s complete I’ll disappear. There’s no saving me.” He spoke softly, gazing down at him.
