they met at a magic university, one based around elemental magic -- her specialty, and a specialty of the region of ilia they both hail from. he pursued her once they realized they had a shared interest, but she refused to let him woo her until she was finished with her studies.

they were wed very, very soon after her graduation from the university and are hailed as some of the greatest minds to come from there, though canas’s focus on elder magic was fairly worrying to them. she’s considered one of the finest mages of their time, especially coming from a region full of powerful mages.

canas has. mixed feelings about his family situation. he was fairly young when his brothers were ruined by the dark magic that runs in their family, so he only has vague feelings about them, but knowing his mother nurtured their demise because she wanted them to become powerful mages -- combined with the fact that she continued this trend with him -- means they don’t get along particularly well.
