Mike Schmidt is a young man with a violent streak and a troubled past. Decades ago, his younger brother Garrett vanished in an accident he barely remembers, believing it to be a kidnapping.
After a string of disastrous, short-lived careers, Mike is put in the care of a smug and forceful career councilor. Almost instantly, the councilor has a job for Mike; security guard at an ancient, run-down pizzeria. Despite how suspicious the job is, Mike doesn’t have much of a choice; if he doesn’t get a job soon, he loses custody of his stepsister Abby.
The pizzeria turns out to be even more suspicious than Mike imagined. Now he has to figure out how all of these puzzle pieces fit together, and confront his past if he wants any hope of a future.
