If you’re going to make updates you should let people opt out of those updates if they don’t like them. Especially given that many users don’t like the new layout, find the new layout harder to use and are unhappy/dissatisfied with the new layout. Not to even mention that we have no say in what changes are made to the site, no warnings as to when an update will be made, and no previews as to what the next update is going to be.

There was nothing wrong with the original layout. Most of the things you’ve done and are doing to tumblr to make it not only look worse, but make it harder to use, and often cause more distress than happiness with your users. User ease of access and satisfaction should be your primary focus. The new update is not easier to use. it is impractical and wasn’t needed.

The idea that “You never have to scroll to the top to see your blogs again!” is nice, but useless when half the time the pop-downs don’t work and it’s difficult for users with sideblogs to access. You’re fixing things that aren’t broken.

So if you’re going to continue making unnecessary changes to tumblr, please include an option to use the classic layout instead of the new one.‏
