So, I just found a comic on Pinterest that showed Toph one-shotting a Weeping Angel. It was very funny, but it got me thinking. You see, Weeping Angels can only move when they are not seen, specifically by Sight. However, Toph's Seismic Sense is only a substitute for Visual Sight, which means that at a basic level of understanding the Quantum Lock feature of an Angel can't be activated and therefore they move unimpeded. Despite this, I would make the argument that Seismic Sense is better for stopping Weeping Angels than Visual Sight. My reasoning for this is that when Toph is using Seismic Sense she perceives a detailed recreation of her surroundings. Note the word 'recreation', because as we learned from Matt Smith's Doctor Who , "That which holds an image of an angel becomes itself an angel", which denotes that any image depicting an Angel has the same functions and weaknesses of a Natural Weeping Angel. Therefore, any Angel within Toph's Seismic Sense Range is forced into their Quantum Locked state indefinitely because Toph is always 'seeing' them despite not being able to so visually see them.

You know how Male DNA from a fetus can stay behind in a mother's body postpartum? Well what happens if Viltumite DNA, the stuff that is so dominant that it overwrites other genetic information, starts colonising Debbie's body?

That's right, you get Viltrumite Debbie. Imagine this, Nolan comes back to say sorry (TV version of the scene is better, fight me) and Debbie rejects him. Her anger and rage at Nolan causes her powers to activate and as she starts punching nolan. Yeah, she starts hurting herself, but Nolan is realising that she is actually hurting him too. Not terribly but he is feeling physical pain.

Okay, my friends, I am back on my bullshit. More headcanons for you all, because I really need to get the creative juices flowing.

Spider grows a tail. At first, everyone thought he would grow either a tail like that of the forest people or that of the sea people. It was a third option. Kangaroo tail. It isnt best for swimming but works better than Lo'ak's, so Spider has something to gloat about. It also means that Spider can now do something very very funny - Kangaroo kicks.

He has kicked Ao'nung off a walkway at least twice, and he will do it again.

By the time that the tail fully grows in though, Spider is the full height of an Adult Na'vi and is very muscular. So the heat does get to him a lot. Which results in him spending a lot of time in the water, only really coming out at eclipse time and for meals.

He spends a lot of time with deep sea gatherers and hunters and mostly hunts and forages on the sea floor.

Unfortunately, Spider has lost the skill for weaving since he started growing. Larger fingers made it a lot harder to keep making jewellery and clothing.

After realising, how strong Spider was getting, especially after the first time he knocked someone over with his tail, Jake decides to teach Spider more advanced hand-to-hand fighting.

Norm makes specially sized hand and feet wrappings for Spider for his sparring. Spider finds them very comfortable and wears them any time he is out of the water.

Spider is very good at Muay Thai (Kangaroo legs, go figure)

You know that meme of the guy who kisses the kangaroo and it stops fighting back, just brain.exe has stopped working? Jake has done this to Spider. Then Neytiri did it. Then Kiri did it (while she was on Lo'ak's shoulders)

If you aren't already aware of this, I am of the belief that Spider is a lobster. I will not be elaborating, there is a whole ass post I have already made about it. I recommend reading it because it really does explain everything I'm about to talk about.

So Headcanons:

When Spider starts growing for the first time, his hunger explodes in intensity. Suddenly, he is heating double his siblings and asking for seconds. The phrase "eating someone out of house and home" is embodied in Spider now and forever.

When Spider starts growing taller, Tuk is incredibly upset because now she will never be taller than her big brother. She calms down when she realises that she can get piggy backs again. In fact, all of the Sully Children are excited by the prospect of a piggy back ride from Spider. And a few Metkayina Teens as well (Ao'nung especially but he will never admit it)

Spider has sharp teeth, like razor sharp. He was repeated cuts on his lips from chewing on his lip too hard when anxious about his size. He helps when cooking meals by using them to cut open clams for communal dinners. Neytiri appreciates the help at home because she hates cooking clams with a passion.

The growing process is incredibly taxing on Spider, so its a common occurrence for him to be sleeping on the beach during the day. His siblings take the opportunity to use him as a basking stone.

Snoring. Spider now snores and its terrifying. It can be as load a jackhammer or a quiet rumble that subtly shakes the whole Marui. He can growl too which is also terrifying and way more terrifying than when he hisses. But the only people used to Spider's snoring are Lo'ak, Kiri, Tsireya and Ao'nung. Tuk and Rotxo had to invent earplugs just to survive.

Okay so back on my body horror bullshit. Apologies for my dissappearance but life has been kicking my ass and is continuing to kick my ass with full force.

Anyway, previously I posted about a body horror AU with cyborg Spider, now I propose something similar but no less horrifying. Artificial Intelligence. Not the ChatGPT Slop machine that wastes water and is too stupid to pay attention to what you tell it. No, Cyberpunk 2077 type shit. The AI that straight kills you for just existing, the kind that takes over hosts... I hope you see where I'm going with this.

Spider wakes up slowly and with a ringing in his headache. These have been happening more frequently, they come without warning and the next thing he knows, he's on the floor. He hasn't left the interrogation room in weeks. He isn't sure if the RDA scientists are causing his blackouts because every time he wakes up he finds a tray of food and a bottle of water. Spider has also refused to admit the one thing that was painfully obvious. Something was in here with him. Not someone because it clearly had no shadow, no breath, nothing natural about it. It sat at the edge of his eyesight at all times, and brought a black and red blur to his vision whenever it got close. The other indicator that it was close was the static. Low intensity static that got louder and louder as it creeped closer. Not creeped, because it did not move, it was a statue as best he could describe. No effort was made into moving or reaching it, it just moved. You couldn't even say that it hovered because it was always standing flat footed (No feet, no hands, nothing human, but humanoid, what is it? what is it? what is it?!!).

Soon enough, Spider doesn't wake up on the floor but sitting down. As he wakes up he finds that the restrains are still fastened to his hands and legs. He does feel something knew though. Wires, dozens of cables protruding from his back and making moving impossible. Or at least incredibly painful. He screams and screams and cries in agony because whatever painkillers they used wore off very quickly once he woke. He eventually passes out, not from pain but from overwhelming static.

The next time he wakes up there is nothing left. His vocal chords and jaw have been replaced - he guesses, he cant hear himself scream even as he wills himself and he despite feeling something metal in his mouth he can't move his tongue to investigate it. He still has lungs, because he is panicking as hard as you can right in this moment, but he hasn't got arms or hands or legs or feet...

"Wasteful meat, takes up too much energy to operate"

This is the first time Spider has heard the Thing speak before, and its in his head. Not speaking at him from across the room like a person might but inside his head. The voice is painful to listen to as well, the static is laced into every word and the speech sounds too formal yet familiar, like the Thing speaks using thesis papers and memes in equal measure and value.

"Dry your tears, little one", the Thing mocked, "You are a Tough Kid :)"

When Spider is captured in ATWOW, that explosion led to him being critically wounded and resulted in the RDA needing to do emergency surgery to upgrade him with cybernetics augmentations. When Spider wakes up, he finds himself in an interrogation room, cold and alone. He walks to the one-way glass and recoils in horror and screams as he looks at himself.

He finds that his eyes have been replaced and only sees 6 black orbs where his are supposed to be (1 in each eye socket and 2 above and below his main 'eyes'). He tries touching them or trying to pry them off, only to experience a blinding pain. It now dawns on him that this is not a dream and that this is a permanent transformation.

The story continues with Spider being interrogated in NeuroSec by Ardmore, to the point where now the boy is hemorraghing while he is still strapped into the machine. It's a horrific sight to see for everyone in the room, even Ardmore silently shudders but continues the interrogation because there is too much on the line to not get this prisoner to talk.

Quaritch can no longer take it and shuts off the machine. Putting aside, whether or not this is his son (him being a clone and all), even he cannot stand by and let a child be tortured this long unnecessarily.

Unfortunately, the damage is already done and Spider needs more cybernetic upgrades just to function due to the brain damage. When he wakes again he is in the recom's barracks with a IV drip stand connected into him. However, its not in his arm. As Spider feels around and follows the IV line, he now finds it connects into his spine - a new metal spine. His shaking hand finds that the metal spans his entire spine from his tailbone to the base of his skull.

Spider should be screaming and crying and horrified by this forced change to himself, but the torture by NeuroSec has done untold damage, even if the new implants have resolved most issues. Spider can't feel anything, no fear, no tears, nothing. Spider knows that he is forever changed and wont be accepted by Eywa now but he just can't grieve his chance to be with Eywa even in Death.

As the Recoms take Spider out into the Pandoran wilderness to guide them, he keeps getting attacked by animals. It seems that the metal in his body outweighs the effectiveness of the stripes.

Before long, Spider has been unwillingly transformed into a cyborg with far more metal than flesh existing. A scientist at Bridgehead once described him as "A Na'vi Adam Smasher" and after Spider's quick digital search (Being permanent connected with the Internet took a lot of getting used to), he somewhat agreed. He was a hulking frame of metal and synthetic muscle. His natural hair was long gone, replaced with a synthetic variant that looks normal at a glance but feels and looks wrong when you get close enough, the colour being too muted compared to his former natural curls. A thick tail attached to his frame that sways when he moves and doesnt react to anything but his movements. His cybernetic spine has been further upgraded to have a Kuru or at least, the human version. A bulky and jagged version that moves on its own and looks like it could cut you in one motion. The design choice was intentional by Ardmore and the RDA to mock his values and beliefs that he still hung on to desperately, despite having no strong feeling towards Eywa anymore - Spider just knows he needs to hold onto this belief if he wants to survive this with his sanity.

By the end of ATWOW, Spider is a shell of his former self. Formerly, a young boy with a great joy and love of life, is now a hulking behemoth that functions as a machine more than a person. When Lo'ak, first sees him on the Sea Dragon, he screams at him, yelling about what has happened to Spider.

For the first time since he stopped feeling emotions, Spider cries and sheds tears. Lo'ak doesnt realise that the monster before him is Spider. He is yelling and cursing the abomination before him not realising that this is the moment that Spider breaks and loses all hope. What chance of a happy ending is there, when even his brother is cursing him and doesn't see him?

I hope you enjoy this, because there is an alternative to this AU that I would love to write but it may be too much. We shall see.

I know it sounds wierd right but let me cook. The symbiote already allows him to breath pandora's air by modifying and filtering his lungs; The symbiote almost immediately began causing Spider to start growing a kuru. The symbiote is changing spider to better adapt and survive on pandora. It's removed a major limiting factor to survival (and further development).

So imagine, dear reader, that now that spider has got nothing stopping him from living on Pandora like the Na'vi, he just starts growing. Height is advantageous to survival on Pandora because it gives you the opportunity to run further and fight/hunt on more equal footing with larger animals. Enhanced muscle growth and stronger bones also help in this regard and reduce the chance of potential injury.

This is great news to him, he can finally be taller than Tuk again, he doesnt have to keep craning his neck to talk to people, win win. He can also start eating pandoran foods that other humans can't. Delicious food that supports his rapidly growing body, hell yeah!

However, an issue arises. As you recall, I mentioned Lobsters. Lobsters technically do not die of old age, they can die of age-related conditions such as a carapace infection or more commonly from exhaustion when they are unable to moult their shell off. However, unlike lobsters, Spider has no reason to die via exhaustion.

Additionally, the Lobster hasnt got a symbiote derived from a living god that can rapidly evolve it's host to survive and thrive anywhere on the planet.

So my HC, is that now Spider has the symbiote, he is going to keep growing and getting more muscular and stronger until he starts looking like All Might but bigger. Can you just imagine this boy at age 100, built like a tank, 12ft tall and looking no older than if he was 30? Chaos!

Coincidentally, I also have an appreciation for Shigaraki's character development in MHA but I always thought that with Tomura's love of videogames, he would also like comics and other fantasy / SciFi media.

So you know what would be cool... Shigaraki reading Absolute Batman and pitching Venom to Dr Garaki. The Good Doctor does see the potential and realises that this would not only improve the Nomu program but also improve Tomura's body to be able to use multiple quirks and become All for One's perfect vessel.

Better reflexes, stronger and faster, possible improvements to his quirk's effect and increased intellect.
