"okay," the femme smiled sweetly. "of course, i trust you, baby. it's them i don't trust," in truth, she knew he was a flirt, how couldn't someone who looked like him enjoy such attention? but now she was in his life the idea of him even thinking of flirting with another made her stomach fill with fire. "absolutely nothing," she confirmed, knowing she had made sure no trail was left to follow. "i'm good at what i do, and i do it for you, eliot."

"then you can trust me with them. they're not gonna ever sway me from you." eliot muttered, squeezing her hip gently. he didn't think he would ever get more of a thrill from any other girl. stevie was everything to him. "i believe you." eliot nodded. he reached down to kiss her for a second, "i'd die for you, stevie. you know that?"

"okay, well, i'll find him tomorrow and make sure that key is no longer in his possession," he might also teach the boy a lesson for messing with mildred in such a way, but he'd keep that to himself. "of course i can stay, mil. anything you need," axel nodded, pulling her into a protective hug, his way of trying to comfort her in the moment. "i've got you."

mildred nodded her head, "thank you." she sighed. she felt like such an idiot for trusting thomas. she thought that he was a good person, that he could be someone she could spend a long with with. but apparently she had just been an idiot. she didn't know why she kept going with these men. mildred nodded her head a little and melted into the hug as his arms wrapped around her. "thank you axel. thank you for being here."

"oo, talk dirty to me, benji, you know i love that," the femme smirked, trying to ignore the fact that those words stung, far more than she liked. it was complicated, this thing between them. they couldn't be with each other, right? but being without each other also seemed daunting. it's like they both agreed to stay friends only to torture each other because they weren't something more. "it's not my fault you choose gullible people to date, i am sure there are plenty of girls out there who wouldn't fall for my shit, but you just know how to pick them, huh?" jett replied with a devious gleam to her eyes. "well, given she was fucking jake at the time, she knew.... a lot."

a relationship between he and jett had never worked out. probably for the reasons why they were still in each others lives now. they were stubborn and unwilling to give the other what they needed. but they also loved one another. he loved her more than he was ever willing to admit. "or they see you and go running for the hills. they don't wanna get wrapped up with you and your bullshit." he hated that she could still get under his skin. "and what the fuck does jake know?!"

"true, can you imagine?" he chucked softly, "i only own running shoes, let's be real," he needed them for his work and they were more durable for all the walking he did. "i have no idea? now you've got me curious," whiskey replied with a quirked brow. "well, i've got to find the power grid, then i should be able to turn some of these rides on, if you're game for trying them out?"

"at least it would make things interesting around here." arabella scoffed. she hated the town that they lived in and vowed to leave ... once she had enough money to do so. "good. then you'll be fine." she shrugged. "you have no idea." she confirmed, nodding her head. her smile widened as whiskey spoke about the power and she nodded her head, "i didn't break into this place to not try the rides, did i?"

"oh yes, it's been better than any sex i've had, and it's oh so easy," jett beamed, her voice full of pride. it was always sweet when she could mess with someone, it just so happened that her ex, who she may or may not still feel something for, made a perfect target to fuck with. "see, you say that now, but i'd bet the second i do i'd get some adorable 'i miss you' text. or have you fucking up one of my next dates. remember charlie? you spilled that bucket of ice water over him as a prank? funny that chelsea told me that prank only happened because i showed up to the party with him."

"you're the fucking worst thing to ever happen to me." he snapped. benji definitely didn't mean that and he was sure that jett knew that. they ruined each others lives but she was also what he lived for. he wanted to be around her, no matter what. even if he said otherwise. and they both knew it. "only because you ruin any chance i've got with any one fucking else. you want me so badly, you can't just leave me be." he rolled his eyes as she continued. "what the fuck does chelsea even know?! she's an idiot."

"i have plenty sense of adventure, bel, but this place is practically a death trap at this point, i wouldn't be surprised if some serial killer was using it as a lair or something," he thought out loud, torch shifting around in search to the power grid. "i was technically joking, even if i wondered how good their rides were compared to ours... i mean, it was a funny fantasy but actually doing it? kind of wild, maybe a little insane."

"in this town? unlikely." she scoffed. "i hope you have your running shoes on, then." this was a bit of a game to arabella. and she was enjoying his reaction almost just as much. "oh, baby, you've no idea" arabella laughed. even though she knew that he wasn't particularly talking about her, it definitely wasn't the first time that those words had been hurled at her. "what do you wanna do first?!"
