a psychiatrist (who was pretty accurate about everything else) tells ross that he knew on some level that carol was a lesbian when he married her. had he subconsciously entered a lavender marriage, and the real reason he was so upset with her was because she was brave enough to come out when he thought they'd hide together forever?

in the same episode where they discuss why everyone thinks chandler is gay, ross is the one that gets trapped in his grandma's CLOSET. he says "i'm coming out" but his family members stop him, and while he's in there a box of pink sugar packets fall on his head.

when he was a child he used to crossdress in his mom's dresses and made everyone call him bee. he genuinely had no memory of this, inferring he'd been tramautized so badly by his parents (notorious for emotionally / verbally attacking their kids) during this era that he blocked it out.

when joey needs practice kissing men for a role, he looks at ross specifically & is denied. the audition is monday, assumedly in the morning / afternoon, but ross comes over at NIGHT to kiss him. (to which joey looks dejected instead of laughing saying "that was a hell of a kiss" "rachel is lucky")

this starts to lean more into the joey x ross agenda, but there's an ep where all the friends are supporting phoebe while she's in labor but ross is with joey holding him while he "births" a kidney stone.

ross is notoriously a neurotic mess who struggles with certain types of intimacy & relationship issues, but always tries harder for joey. when he's dating rachel she says he's taking the wind out of her sails and always telling her what to do. joey accuses him of the same thing. he only apologizes to one of them, giving them a thoughtful 200$ gift and telling them he thinks they're amazing / how much he respects them (spoiler its not rachel)

the napping debacle. its the "best nap they've ever had" and talk about it like its a euphemism. the only reason they stop is because of judgement from their friends.......
