Hello, my name is Nadin. I’m from Gaza. I’m a graphic design graduate, a wife—and now, a mother.

I finished my design studies just before the war began. I had dreams of starting a small studio, of creating art that told stories. I used to think about colors and fonts and the future.

Then, the war came. And the future became something we tried to hold onto, moment by moment.

On October 22, 2023, I learned I was pregnant when a missile destroyed my husband’s family home, killing 25 members—his mother, siblings, nieces and nephews—entire branches of our family in seconds.

We were displaced twice. Everything was gone—home, safety, routine, rest.

A few weeks later, I gave birth to our daughter. There was no crib, no celebration—not even stillness. But she arrived, quietly and beautifully. In her eyes I saw something I hadn’t felt in weeks: life that still wanted to grow.

Now, our days are shaped by decisions that could dismantle the future we are trying to build together.

Today, Israel’s government is discussing plans for a full military occupation of the Gaza Strip, including Gaza City and southern regions. The stated aim: to eliminate Hamas and later hand governing control to allied Arab forces—not Israel—but with no clear path to peace or normalcy.

The humanitarian fallout is devastating. More than 61,000 Palestinians have died in this war; hunger and malnutrition are rising sharply. Hospitals in north Gaza have shut down, and 193 people have now died of starvation, nearly half of them children.

Aid remains blocked, water is scarce, and many risk dying of hunger or disease long before future promises arrive.

We Don’t Know What Comes Next There’s no clear path forward—only uncertainty for our daughter’s life and our ability to survive another day.

shortest possible story is that he he got arrested and hospitalized after walking around outside at night, MAYBE having 'an episode', MAYBE he was drunk, maybe he was high, maybe he was just being loud, who knows. Dude was outside at night in boxers and cowboy boots and that's all he did to "invite" police interaction.

But cops claimed he assaulted them so he gets arrested. Then goes to the hospital. Then goes back into custody.

And then he's not heard of for a while, then days later says he's out and okay. But facing FELONY charges!

"We love to treat it like these are separate things... like there's identity politics and then there's economic politics. Like there's the economy and then there's culture, right? But from a standpoint of understanding anything about disability, anything about disability rights--First and foremost, anybody can become disabled. Anybody can be considered disabled. That's just a reality... In Gaza, bombs are dropped that [amputate] people's limbs. People's limbs are shot by riot police in the United States. People are becoming intentionally disabled. COVID-19, the way that ransacked communities despite the resources being there to prevent that. They can make you disabled."

I need everyone to see these connections. The eugenics movement is deeply embedded in the genocide in Gaza.

There are many ways to disable a population--through declaring them "unfit" or "lesser," through traumatizing them, through starving them and destroying their access to clean water, through allowing illness to go untreated and diseases to spread, through brutally injuring them, through bombing hospitals and destroying infrastructure to create and transport medical supplies and medication, through eviction and displacement and homelessness, through capture and incarceration and torture.

We need to defend the disabled people of Gaza. They are not a statistic. They are people surviving unbelievably brutal conditions in the dead center of the target painted by the eugenicist United States.

My friend Fadel is one of these people. He needs to buy his medication again this month to treat his chronic illness. He was further disabled in the bombing of his home, and needs urgent surgery to remove shrapnel from his body.

His family was displaced again two days ago, and even their tent was now destroyed. He is now sleeping in the middle of the street with no cover from the elements or the insects. All he has left to protect himself are some pillows.

Israelis want to forcibly displace them in order to occupy the Gaza Strip and destroy it completely. Their intention is to kill or capture anyone who remains in Gaza.

While Israel prepares to destroy what remains of Gaza City, families here are being torn apart by hunger, destruction, and despair.
