That thing Viv said about no one taking Lute seriously?
Yeah. That's on full display here.
Abel interrupts her, and Peter straight up mocks herβ They aren't taking her seriously at all. Nothing she has to say matters to them.
And when she tries to reason with Seraβ someone who was previously on her side by the wayβ she also gets shut down.
And she looks so frustrated the whole time, I honestly felt horrible for her.
From her perspective, everyones gone mad.
An Angel just diedβ someone who meant the world to her is goneβ and nobody cares.
Adam's death is completely brushed off by heaven. Not even his own son cares. (Side note: Why is Abel so chill with his father's death??)
Even if we ignore how much Adam meant to her, he was still a member of heaven with high influence. He had power. He was known by everyone. He's literally the first human being to be created.
And not a single person is mourning him or even acknowledging that he's gone.
Her whole world fell apart, and no one cares. No one's listening to her.
The worst part is she's so motivated. She WANTS to make things right (her definition of right), and she wants to avenge Adam's death, to get revenge on hell.
It's the only reasonable course of action, and no one else sees that.
The desperation in her voice is so clear during the whole courtroom scene. She's trying to explain, to get them to understand, and they won't listen to her.
The amount of shit she must be feeling right now is insane. Not only is she grieving, but she has to deal with being pushed aside and mocked by people who don't care that she just lost someone.
And that must make Adam's death sting even more. He was the ONE person who listed to her and relied on her ideas and now he's gone.
Now she has to go back to being completely ignored, and that must feel so, so much more isolating. She's grieving with zero support systemβ she has no one.
It's hard enough coping with the death of a loved one, but to do it alone? AND with the whole world seemingly against you?
