A Gathering of Souls

Well he asked for it she mused as her eyes scanned through the mission list. Something with high rewards, may as well go for a Deusphage then. Her eyes caught sight of a mission involving a Tsukuyomi and the reward looked pretty good to her. Hopefully it was enough for Shun she thought with a sigh as she pointed out the mission to him. 

“What about this one?”

‘Awww, damnit.’ He really should’ve guessed Vec didn’t like him before she’d pointed at the damn Tsukuyomi target but one could say Shun was a hopeful idiot. Granted, the realization wasn’t a surprise--most people didn’t like him anyways. Nonetheless--

Well she tried to get out of it. She supposed she may as well get it over and done with. After all, how bad could it be? “Alright, alright.” She relented, making her way over to the mission desk. “So….anything works for you?” She felt as though she was going to regret asking that.

Did he have a bit of a strut to his step following after Zeta? Definitely. Maybe, but who wouldn’t? Going on a mission with a cute girl and racking up some credits sounded like a great day to Shun!

“I am not going to be judged or called out by the woman who put the word “Bun” in Bunny Girl and you cannot prove that I wanted to hear it anyways!”

“Shit!” Shun’s unexpected appearance made her jump. 

Forget? What in the world could she have forgotten? She stared for a while, head tilted in confusion before releasing what he had meant. She had honestly forgotten what she had agreed to days ago. Now to make an attempt to get out of this.

“Ah, no. Just haven’t had any missions with a good enough reward.” It’s a partial truth and she hopes he will buy it.

“Okay but by agreeing with me, you’re admitting that I am a DILF!”

     “I”m…. thank you?” Does he actually look that stupid? A mixture of bewilderment and down right puzzled, painting that exact stupid look she might be describing in full. Still something crosses the other’s mind, a steely gaze now glaring at him as if he’d done something wrong. Thakfully the boy seems unfazed by this, brushing it aside as he begins speaking.

     “I’m pretty sure you can divine things right? So there’d be no point in trying to run away in the end I’d think.” Even if she couldn’t Shirou at least seemed to assume so. Meaning she’s already won the psychological aspect of this…. what was this exactly? Was he her butler and servant? It feels like the vibe he’s getting. The mistreaded butler.

     “If you have anything you need to collect though before I end up heading out somewhere though then just let me know. I wouldn’t mind bring it back.” Also a way to remind himself to venture back here before she tries to kill him for allegedly escaping.

“Exactly! You can try to run and hide but it’ll just be a waste of time anyways.” She’d toss out a bit of damage along the way just to prove a point to boot, and if her reading of this guy was right he’d be the guilty minded sort if that happened.
