a heavy toll we drag each day.

Yet in the pause, a breath, a word,

a simple truth, once left unheard

“I’m sorry” soft, sincere, and clear,

can shift the weight we’ve held for years.

Five seconds spoken, hearts unbind,

a healing bridge, a gentler mind.

The storm dissolves, the silence breaks,

forgiveness blooms, the spirit wakes.

Apology is not defeat,

but soil where mercy plants its seed.

It teaches us that grace is near,

that love restores what once was fear.

So speak, release, let sorrow part

In the time between the leaves,

I find a quiet hum
