Heyyy for the OC ask, 8, 15 and 21 pleassse? For Volya π€
Hello you! Thank you for your questions <33
8. What does your ocs family look like?
Here are some sketches of Volya's birth family π
Their motto: hurt people hurt people π¬
Volya kind of cut ties when they moved to Night City, but it's not the end of their story
Their mother, Tilda Green-Tosh (musician, kitchen crew)
- a singer, an artist (voice inspo -> Lovis from Ronja, the Robber's daughter; her voice is where her soul sits)
- kind but sorrowful grey eyes
- long, brown greasy hair
- her struggle with alcoholism has hollowed out her once strong frame
- she loves and basically lives in her oversized, olive-green jumper
Their father, Connor Tosh (scout)
- a charming face with a smile that almost reaches his blue eyes, which hold a guarded, unsettling depth
- tall and lean with a weathered, leathery complexion from prolonged exposure to the desert sun
- a red beard with white streaks
- his voice is always a little too loud
Their aunt, Becca Tosh (techie)
- intelligent blue eyes that never miss a thing
- a messy mop of red hair half hidden under a scarf and safety goggles
- her face is usually as dirty as her laugh
- her posture radiates focus and determination
- a prominent chrome mask covers the side of her head and neck
15. What is your OC's fatal flaw?
Existential nihilism hidden behind performative romanticism, rooted in a deep distrust of themselves and the world. (it has a nice touch, doesn't it)
Unknowingly, they have created a mask to keep moving forward.
Daily life hides it well, though. One can live a whole life pouring all the energy into creating and sustaining an illusion that is almost real.Β π
I think it's fatal, because it makes relationships so utterly challenging (for everyone). Moments of connection are followed by a sudden withdrawal, because intimicy threatens to expose their belief-system. So they sabotage relationships just as they become real.
As the drama-loving and romantic OC parent that I am, I focus haaaard on their wish for a happier life that feeds the mask. It's all there, everything they need.
21. How does your OC handle criticism?
I copy-pasted this from the other post you've already read. (:
Usually, they have a productive relationship with it. They were taught to view criticism as an opportunity to optimize their behavior or skills for the greater good. The collectivism within a Nomad clan is pretty distinctive. Doing better is crucial for everyone, so the motivation was always high. However, productive doesn't mean stress-free. Given their personality, criticism quickly triggers a need to over-perform to prove their worth.
