asking for straight pride is like asking for able bodied parking spaces
thats a really good comparison because there are about seventy able bodied parking spaces to one disabled and able bodied people still insist on using the ones that arent theirs
this is seriously a great postÂ
No! Just, frickin' no. There is a difference between being able bodied and being straight.
A disabled person through accident or design loses the capacity to perform to the same physical or mental standard as the average person. For that reason they are given a means to level the field in certain circumstances where they would be at a disadvantage, such as convenient parking, access ramps etc. And only the truly miserable of able bodied would complain or take that from them.
Being LGBT does not make you any different to being straight, you have a preference, you live with it. If you have the right to be proud of your sexuality, so do straight people. You are in no way inferior or lacking compared to a straight person, you do not get to say "I'm allowed to be proud of who I am and you're not." There is no comparison here unless you truly believe you are in some way disadvantaged. If you believe your life choice is the same as a spinal injury, cardiac condition or any other reason for which a disabled person might get compensated and your right to be proud of that choice is your compensation.
Yes, the LGBT community has been mistreated in the past and is still being mistreated in places today, but that post is still bullshit. You want equality, get it, get all the same rights as a straight person, because that is equality. You don't get to turn around and say to the person who had it easier "I am proud of who I am, and you must deal with that, but you aren't allowed to be proud of who you are because you had it easier." That is not equality, that is revenge.

"Woh woh woh. Really? Is that all he gets? Fuckin’ "ya don’t keep throwin’ blades"?" Wade was mocking Gambit’s accent, pointing at Sam, whose eyes widened. "The fucking idiot coulda killed me, and you tell him off like he used up all the fucking milk!"
Wade had gotten a bullseye, but upon hearing Gambit’s special brand of chastisement Wade rounded on the two of them. If it had been him who had kept throwing deadly weapons around the place no one would be fucking forgetting about it and letting him off with a verbal warning.
Remy counted to ten in his head before turning to look at Wade.
"Well Wade, nobody got hurt, an' it's not like you warned anybody you were takin' the field anyhow. Clearly I've slipped a bit in not goin' over the safety guidelines, but since that's my mistake, I ain't gonna hold you or Sam accountable for it. Now if ya don't mine, Victor's got himself tangled in a bolas over there, so go back ta practicin' an' we can talk 'bout this later. Nice shot by the way." Remy waved his hand in the direction of Wade's board before turning to head over to the other student.

"Oh my God, you’re so full of shit…" Wade rolled his eyes again, returning to his position, narrowly avoiding a throwing knife gone array. He whistled in relief, but shot a glare at the classmate. "Fucking idiot."
He took up his stance and pretended not to have heard Gambit’s instruction. He knew what he had meant, but if he got better straight away, Gambit would take all the credit. But once again his impatience got the better of him. He didn’t get a bullseye, but it was damn near.Â
Remy smirked. He may be due to one day be the Merc with the Mouth who no one quite understood, but for now Wade was like any other pissed off teen it seemed.
"Gettin' there, keep practicin'." Remy nodded before making his way down the line. "Sam, when someone's on the field, ya don't keep throwin' blades, okay?" he called out, taking his eyes off Wade.

Wade rolled his eyes and looked at his teacher. “Jesus fucking Christ, if I knew what went wrong I’da fixed it and I’d be getting bullseyes.” Wade walked up to the target and tugged the shurikens out, cursing, not bothering to be polite to the the teacher.Â
"Alright, guess I'll just tell ya what went wrong." Remy sighed, watching the boy collect up his weapons. "Ya weren't patient with it. It was takin' too long for ya to get it, you got angry an' ya made a mess of things. An' since I'm sure you're gonna bitch bout that not bein' the practical reason, you let it go too early, hit the second ring instead a' the bullseye if ya waited a bit longer." Remy shook his head. he could only imagine what he'd get in return for that nugget of wisdom.

Wade nodded and took the mutant’s advice. He had a good aim normally but goddammit these things were hard. He was only hitting the outer ring of the target and it was pissing. Him. Off. He switched hands, flinging the star with his left hand. He was ambidextrous for the most part, his right hand only slightly dominant. This stance was more comfortable, letting him hit the second outer ring. But it wasn’t enough.
"For fuck’s sake!" He threw another and missed altogether for the first time.
Remy raised an eyebrow at the boy's outburst. This was going to be fun. "Alright Wade, deep breaths. Gettin' angry isn't gonna help ya hit the target. Now then, what went wrong?" he asked knowingly, looking at the target. It was ten feet, he could hit that in his sleep, and odds were with a gun Wade would hit it better at two hundred feet than he was doing now. But among the many things you realised coming to the Xavier school, it was that a student's 'talents' were often as effected by their emotional and mental state as anything else, and maybe, in this case, straightening Wade Wilson out now might help him to avoid become the pain in the ass he would one day become.
Class in Session
Wade flashed a grin at his teacher, watching the man groan. It wasn’t that he didn’t like Gambit or anything, it was just that making life hard for teachers was more fun than letting them have it easy. He picked up a set of shurikens. He had always wanted to learn to use these things. He pulled on his fingerless leather gloves, knowing he could cut his hands on the sharp edges if he wasn’t careful and people were laughing at him enough for not having a power.Â
He stood at the ten foot line and realised he had no idea how to hold the throwing stars. He tried three or fours ways but none of them felt comfortable.
Remy stood by and watched as the students tried their best, and granted, some of them weren't bad. Except the ones trying to throw ordinary playing cards like him, they were terrible. Watching Wade struggle with the right method for throwing shuriken. Walking up to the boy, he nodded his head thoughtfully.
"Why don't ya try throwin' 'em like a Frisbee. Just hold the pile in one hand an' throw 'em with the other. Won't be fast, but it'll have better aim than ya do now." Remy looked back at the target. Granted Wade had actually hit it, which is more than he could say for some others, but for every one that hit the corners of the board, three more were scattered somewhere in the grass.
Class in Session
Remy stood in front of his throwing weapons glass. It wasn't the biggest group of volunteers, but they'd do. Looking down the line, he marked off each of the students in turn until he reached one that made him groan. Looking up over his clipboard, he came face to face with Wade Wilson, the one day Deadpool.
"Alright class, I've got a table over there that's got bolas, knifes, cards, darts and a buncha other things for throwin'. I want ya all to go pick somethin' and try and hit the targets over there. It's only ten feet for starters so don't go throwin' it like a baseball, 'specially if ya have super strength." he said brightly, keep a close watch on what he suspected would be a potentially lethal display.
