Wonder Woman is a fighter, better than most, but it’s what she fights for that is important. It’s her vision of a future of peace and acceptance that makes her the right ambassador for everyone.

If you had a superpower in real life, what would it be?

“You convince yourself to do these things… ‘I’ll be a lawyer so I can make peace and people will be able to reach agreements.'Whereas, in real life, lawyers deal with conflict non-stop. Conflicts are not good for me. I’m all about harmony and Zen. So I’m happy it didn’t work out. I would be the sh*ttiest lawyer.”

Throughout my career, I was always asked to describe my dream role. It was clear to me that I wanted to portray a strong and independent woman, a real one. The irony of this, is that later, I was cast as Wonder Woman. All of these qualities I look for I found in her.

We all watch a lot of movies, and I always get upset when strong woman immediately becomes cold, and distant, and tough. And it’s not the way it is. You can have a strong woman, who’s strong by default, but she’s also full of compassion, and she loves everyone, and she cares for them
