This entire week will be dedicated to making Danny more magical and fantastical. Ghosts can be fantasy just as much as sci-fi, right?? Are you a fantasy enjoyer who wishes there was more Fantasy in Danny Phantom? You’re in luck, because I too want more fantasy in the Phandom. So much so that I’ve manifest a Phandom event for the soul purpose of getting more fantasy fics and art for at least my own enjoyment.
Details:
Dates: September 15-21 (Ending on the Autumnal Equinox)
Content Types: Fanfiction, Fanart, and any other fan media is welcome
Tag: #PhantasyPhest2022
Current planned themes, but I’m open to suggestions:
Day 1: Canon Rewrite: Rewrite or reframe any episode/s but with a magical explanation of ghosts. (You can keep the Fentons as Scientists for a contrast, or make the Fentons anti magic. Or something else. Be creative!)
Day 2: Magical Powers Danny! Danny has magical powers related to ghosts. Necromancer? Litch? Emotional manipulation? Potions? As long as you can connect it to his being a ghost. Do it.
Day 3: Urban Fantasy: Werewolves? Vampires? Witches? Pick at least one other classic fantasy monster and use them. Can be an OC or a canon character.
Day 4: Crossover with a fantasy franchise. Trollhunters? Winx? Supernatural? Twilight? Dresden Files? Merlin? Anything, the more magical the better.
Day 5: Time for Fae: Use the Fae in some capacity. Are ghosts and fae the same thing? Or are the fae separate from ghosts with their own realm? You decide. Use them.
Day 6: The Ghost Zone is a Magical World: Treat the Ghost Zone like a fantasy world for an Isekai! Again, magic basic for ghost stuff rather than science. Up the magic and fantasy all you want for the ghost zone. But do it like an Isekai, and some or all of team Phantom are trapped in the ghost zone.
Day 7: Eldritch Abomination: We all love Eldritch Danny, but can you make it a fantasy horror?
Of course you’re welcome to combine any of these with common AUs, such as Ghost King, Full Ghost, Corpse, No One Knows, etc.
Is that not the draw of the neck crown? At least for me, the collar symbolism was what originally make me like the idea of it.

If you think about it, the other appeal of the neck crown is in the way it symbolizes how differently Pariah Dark and Danny think of and wear power.
They say that "heavy lies the head that wears the crown," but in Pariah Dark's case, he doesn't feel it. The crown isn't just on his head, it is floating above his head. He doesn't feel the weight and burden of power, because he believes he is more than strong enough to handle it. The power goes to his head, and he in turn is a mad tyrant.
Danny and the neck crown on the other hand goes all in on that quote. The crown is heavy, so heavy in fact it slips down his head. But it's important to note that the crown doesn't just encircle Danny's neck, it rests on his shoulders. Power, to Danny, is a burden he must carry. A burden he can never bow under the weight of unless he wants to announce to the entire world of his weakness.
Throughout history, royalty had always been placed next to the divine-- and a god that bleeds is no god at all.
Tucker honestly doesn’t get a lot of love in the fandom and his tag sometimes be so dry when he’s literally part of the main trio/never mention such cute moments he has with Danny
Like The episode What you want is such a good episode explaining Danny and Tucker’s relationship in how they literally share everything no matter what it is and how much Tucker does for Danny and gets jealous sometimes with Danny’s ghost powers and ends up with Danny apologizing for like showing off/leaving tucker in the dust sometimes and literally ends with them both sharing a cold together bringing back the whole “we share everything together”
i talked abt this in my own separate post but for me when it comes to concept of patching up each other wounds i almost always see tucker having to be the medic
which don’t get me wrong i get why on some level bc danny puts himself in the most danger out of the three and is the most experienced fighter so he’s bound to get hurt more, but at the same time, tucker can still get just as easily if not more hurt than danny too i want to see the roles reversed for once
one thing i love about tucker in fright knight is that he doesn’t even hesitate to put himself in harm’s way in order to save danny from the fright knight's soul shredder
like when push come to shove ik for a fact tucker is ride or die for danny and i love how the same could be said on danny's end too abt tucker
give me more of tucker rushing into fights to protect danny at critical moments and literally saving him only to get hurt and danny has to take care of him afterwards
lil unrelated but i want to bring this up while we're still here but i like those few moments in reign storm where danny's blaming himself for not being strong enough to handle his enemies and tucker reassures him it's not his fault or expresses concern over danny using the suit saying that maddie used the word fatal like it shows he rlly cares man :(

Anddd we're BACK for Dannymay 2022! This year we're switching it up a little bit and decided to include AU Monday where we're featuring a new popular AU each week (plus a bonus day on the 28th). As always for these prompts. you can draw, write, create music, make a video, craft something cool, really whatever you want! Crossovers and OC's are allowed for all prompts!

Below the cut, I will give a brief explanation for the 6 AU/HC's included, as well as a few other prompts that need an explanation. I will also put a text list of all of the prompts. If you have any other questions, feel free to send an ask!
AUs/Other Prompts Explained
New Genre/Style: This is a day for you to either draw DP in a new art style, or write a fic in a "genre" that you typically don't write in (example: If you're like me and tend to gravitate towards writing all angst and hurt/comfort fics, then maybe try fluff or crack!).
No One Knows AU: A "what if?" scenario exploring a universe where Danny was alone on the accident (aka no Sam and Tucker). As you can imagine, this has great potential for angst.
Ghost King AU: This is a scenario where Danny becomes the ghost king after defeating Pariah Dark.
Portal AU:
-First AU: This is a situation where Danny becomes the portal in the accident. He essentially throws up ghosts.
-Second AU: The portal is sentient.
Disabled Danny AU: In this AU, Danny is disabled. Whether he was born that way, as a result of the portal accident or something else. He can be autistic, paralyzed, dyslexic, need a prosthetic limb, etc.
Corpse AU: A scenario where when halfas die, they leave behind a body. Maybe Danny/the trio need to hide or bury the body, or someone/the cops find the body, or something else!
Free Day: Including this because we get questions every year about it. This day is a free for all! Write/draw whatever your heart desires so long as it relates to DP!
