Hey guys!
I am usually not a person who asks the internet for financial help, but this isnāt for me, so I feel more compelled to do so. My area had a terrible flood last night, after 1/10 of the annual rainfall fell within a couple of hours. Areas that have never seen floods in the last 400 years were completely destroyed and one of them is the town my best friend lives in.
Although living on the first floor, her apartment was completely destroyed last night, all of her belongings washed away or were at least ruined. All the cars on the street drowned and she literally has nothing left, except for the clothes she wore last night. Her family was also affected by the flood, because they live in the same area, so they canāt help out much. As a student, she just doesnāt have the financial means to cover all of the damage and given we live in a usually safe area that doesnāt have any natural catastrophes, insurance doesnāt cover elemental damage either. After just having buried a close family member a month ago, this is a disaster for her and her family and I want to help in any way I possibly can.
I know money is tight for a lot of us, but every small bit counts & signal boosts help as well. If anyone has questions, Iāll gladly answer them. Thank you in advance for your help <3
