Remember this scene from the trailer?

I mention I had a theory on this so here it is...

When I saw the trailer and Mummy's arm near the end it was glowing which could mean he got some kind  magical power or if this is going off Back to the Future logic Mummy is slowly disappearing because the events of Paititi has not happened and most likely won't happen due to Tad and the gangs interference with the past and thus Mummy form doesn't exist yet that's why he's slowly disappearing and when that happens that means Tad and the others might  also disappear because of their connections to him especially Tad considering Tad is the catalyst of everything that's happened in the series making the stakes even higher for everyone!

And now this image surfaced yesterday, and my mind went into overdrive!

Here's my theories on this;

In order for his everyone to return safely to their own timeline, Tad may have to sacrifice himself. This could explain why Sarah and Olivia have his hat with them but not him and have that despair look on there faces.

Another theory is that Tad stalls the bad guys to prevent them from stopping Sarah or their Mummy from making a wish to go back to their own timeline, inadvertently leaving Tad behind.

Or both Tad and Mummy sacrifice themselves for the others to get home safe.

Regardless of the outcome, the fact that we see Tad's hat with Sarah and Olivia suggests that something significant is going to happen to Tad in this film, and it may be a heartbreaking moment.

If this movie dose follows the “Back to the Future” logic, this mean that Olivia will disappear (her arm is glowing in this image) and Sara will forgot about him and everything they been through or this version of Sara will disappear as well.

Ultimately, this indicates that Tad Jones is once again poised to make a sacrifice, not only for love (Tad 2) but also for the family he built and cares about.
