It's the small things that can cause tremendous changes
-
Maybe I'm out of commission due to sickness but no lung infection was gonna keep me from drawing silly Shadamy stuff when I'm this into the ship LMAO
I've also been reading a lot more comics lately and tried going with a more traditional comic look, I think I learned a thing or two from going back to the standards :)
ps: sorry boys I made y'all look bad for closing the door on Amy, LMAO
Feel free to support me in Ko-fi!

Shadow groaned as his eyes slowly flickered open. For a moment, he didn't recognize where he was. Then, slowly as he sat up, it began to dawn on him. The sweet smells, the color pink, and of course the tea with snacks.
For a moment Shadow wasn't sure if he simply wanted to make a quick exit, or if he wanted to have some of the tea. If he stayed he knew what Amy could be like. However he was pretty hungry after the most recent skirmish with Eggman's army.
He made a resigned sigh that he wasn't sure if Amy would hear or not, and picked up his cup of tea.
She was glad to notice that he was more careful on his leg, even if he healed pretty quickly it was still good to be mindful of a healing injury. He likely really would be fully healed by morning.
Amy rested one hand on his shoulder and held his free hand in her own as they began to sway to the slow rhythm. It may not have been any specific style of dance but she enjoyed it all the same, she certainly couldn't think of any of her other friends that would be willing to dance with her like this.
"Not quite the same as a loud concert full of annoying people. But I hope this is just as nice, Amy." Shadow said as his eyes met hers.
Shadow moved with her with surprising elegance and grace despite being injured and never having shown interest in this sort of music to her before.

"Oh really? I'll be sure to keep that in mind and do something special for your birthday then," she replied.
"Thank you for telling me."
Amy leaned back against one of the armrests and listened as the radio played a familiar song.
"Huh. I haven't heard this since that concert."
Shadow nods his head softly, shaking his leg on instinct without realizing it was the one with the wound.
"We really went all out with dancing that night didn't we?" Shadow chuckles softly.
"We did, it was fun, " she smiled and lightly tapped her foot at his moving leg, "careful there. I'm sure you'll want to be able to move around without trouble tomorrow."
Shadow smiled a very faint smile himself. "Perhaps that is a problem for tomorrow, Amy."
He gently stood up from his place on the couch, holding out his hand to Amy. "For tonight, one dance cannot hurt. And if it does, I know a certain pink hedgehog who will take good care of my leg."
As the candles flickered, the rain poured, and the music played it created an ambiance in the air that was electric and tingling with anticipation.
She tilted her head curiously at that until he stood and held out a hand to her. A soft smile played on her lips as she took it it and stood up herself.
"Oh do you? Well I'm sure this hedghog would be happy to do so if it comes to that."
Amy directed them around the coffee table where they had more space.
Shadow gently took her hand once more when they got around the coffee table. It was a soft and slow dance, as he seemed to at least be somewhat careful of his injured leg, but it was a dance with Amy all the same.

"Yes, I am. I hope you will like it too," she hopped back up to put the movie in and settled on the couch beside him once again.
For the time being the storm did not get much closer, which Amy was grateful for in case it were to knock out the power or something.
As the movie played out, Shadow's guard lowered more and more. He sat up on the edge of his seat, super invested in the story on screen. By the middle of the movie, he was chuckling more than Amy was used to from him. In fact, near the end, she could almost swear she saw his eyes a little wet.
All the while, the storm outside slowly creeped in closer and closer. Thunder, lightning, rain, and wind. Yet through it all, they never lost power, and Shadow never took his eyes off the screen.
Amy noticed the change as the movie progressed, glad that he seemed to be enjoying it. She smiled to herself, returning her attention to the show.
It wasn't until a few minutes after the movie that the storm had grown strong enough and close enough to make the power flicker.
"So what did you think of the movie?" She asked while staying to light a few candles before the power would go out.
"It was really good. I think it was a clever decision to have the main character actually be the wingman for his best friend to get with the girl instead for once. It is not something you see often in movies. Though I imagine some people would argue that makes the best friend the real main character. It was just nice to have a different dynamic for once."
Shadow almost rambled a little as he spoke, with a note of enthusiasm that was so very rarely in his voice. After he was done, he glanced at Amy lighting the candles.
"Do you get rough storms here often?"
"Right? It was a nice change of pace for a romcom," she replied, sitting back down after some candles were lit.
"Hm, I guess it has a sense of regularity during the summer and into fall. Often enough to be ready for it," Amy answered, as she spoke on cue the power flickered once more before going out and did not come back on.
The candles cast a soft glow in the room, a few backed by mirrors to make the light brighter while she kept a few movable.
Shadow looked up as the lights went out. "Hm. Living underground surprisingly, we never have any issues with the power. I suppose, though, it also means we can not enjoy the sun or the rain. I'm not sure if I will miss the wind, though."
Shadow looks out towards Amy's windows at the waves in the distance and then turns his attention back to her. "I suppose the only thing left to do tonight is sleep, unfortunately."
"Oh? Your home is underground? Going from space to underground. Explains why you wouldn't be used to storms," she asked.
"I do have cards and some board games if you want to do anything like that, we can also listen to the radio," Amy grabbed her battery powered radio and turned it on.
"Yeah. I did live in a cave for a bit. After the ARK and before, I really trusted Rouge. I remember the first sign of thunder made me jump." Shadow chuckles a little.
"Perhaps the radio. Show me what kind of music you like, Amy. You know. Outside of those loud live shows you drug me too."
"It can get pretty loud," she nodded.
"You know you have fun when we go to concerts," Amy smiled while turning on the radio to a station that had a pretty good mix of different music.
"Besides you started that with my birthday."
Shadow crossed his arms in usual embarrassed look and looked away with a hmph after being called out. "Well, no one else had planned anything. And you deserved to have a good birthday."
"Well it was a great birthday, now I just need to get you to tell me when yours is so that I can return the favor," Amy grinned.
Shadow stayed silent for a moment, letting her teasing comment hang in the air. After a minute or two, he spoke slowly and hesitantly. "Well. You are in luck. It is next month. On the 19th."
