SELENE - GASHINA MV

After the end of the ‘Possession Diaries’ series, it was left vague as to what happened to Selene’s witch-like persona in the MVs. The Gashina music video appears to be a continuation, showing that the witch had blossomed into a chic and sexy goddess. The mv is filled with floral imagery and symbols of rebirth, from the way she emerges from the bathtub in the beginning of the music video, to the way she reinvents herself throughout. The image of herself shown in this music video is different from most CREEP mvs, straying away from the explicitly sexy and horror image creep have for a more chic image that suits her unbelievebly well.

SELENE’S GASHINA GOES OFF WITHOUT A HITCH!

Selene’s BLOSSOM is to be released at 6pm on the 19th of September, and to celebrate this the soloist just had a large, concert-like showcase from 8:30pm to 10pm on Monday 18th. Featuring guests like 2k’s Unplugged to play the live version of Black Blossoms, the other members of CREEP, Aeon’s Siwoo filling in on Up, Up, Intak revising his part on Free Will as well as filling in as a dancer on 24 (Not Enough), and even a guest appearance from Rien of Hydrae, who played bass during Candle and cutely messed around with her during the second talk segment. Titan’s Shincho acted as the MC of the event.

The long awaited MV teaser for Selene’s ‘GASHINA’ is out! The teaser shows the vocalist walking backwards through a forest before submerging herself into a bathtub and magically appearing in a different room. Upon the beat dropping for the track, the atmosphere of the video picks up, from sexy shots of the songstress in a bathtub, to bright neon shots of Selene.

full of dark imagery referencing possessions, witches, and supernatural activity, ‘witch’ is the final part of the ‘possession diaries’ trilogy mvs, and is by far the darkest. tuning into her image as a member of creep, along with her own personal image that she’s made for herself, the mv shows the revenge of the witch, and what appears to be the other members of creep as her coven. from driving the male lead crazy with illusions and hallucinations, to transporting him to a world of nightmares. whether he makes out of the nightmare or even is alive at the end is left unknown and is up to the viewers’ interpretation.

SELENE RELEASES THE OFFICIAL ALBUM HIGHLIGHT FOR HER UPCOMING FIRST FULL ALBUM ‘BLOSSOM’!

CREEP’s official youtube channel uploaded the album highlight for the upcoming full album ‘BLOSSOM’, revealing some of the impressive collaborations that Selene has been a part of. Not only is the album mostly produced by RIEN of HYDRAE (who produced groupmate Koemi’s solo album recently), but the title track, Gashina, was produced by YG’s The Black Label with Teddy Park, along with Selene and co-member Soo, writing the lyrics. It also features 2k’s rookie band Unplugged who played the instrumental for “Black Blossoms” along with DM Ent’s DJ ( @djrebcl ) rapping on the track “Don’t Be Shy”, N.IO ( @fynio ) featuring on the track “TIME”, and group mate Kokoro singing with her in “Love Letter.”

the 3rd installment of the ‘possession diaries’ trilogy, black book, is an album containing themes of betrayal and anger, with the title track talking about how the actions of the series’ male lead are the reason that selene ‘became a witch’. other songs on the album have similar themes, rain discussing a relationship that’s long over, burn going into more detail on selene’s anger towards the series antagonist(?), fxxk u talking about a possibly abusive relationship, and gone (a track featuring two of her members) carrying a message of a relationship which was doomed from the start.

SELENE DROPS MYSTERIOUS GIF TEASER FOR HER SECOND SOLO COMEBACK OF 2017!

After hinting at different projects on her social media, along with reports of fans spotting her on the way to filming sites and uploading selfies of what appears to be her during filming, 2K Records finally drops the first teaser for the second solo comeback of the vocalist this year since the release of her most recent mini album, ‘Possession Diaries III: Black Book’, in March. Insiders have reported that the female will be releasing her first full album outside of CREEP, and that it’ll be following a floral theme centered around moving on and getting over a lost love while blossoming into a new person. a continuation to the ‘24 (not enough)’ mv, the mv mixes bright retro imagery and dark passionate scenes to match the feel of the song. the story appears to be after the casting of the love spell, showing selene releasing the spell on her male counterpart (revealed to be a labelmate, intak) under the assumption that he was in love with her without the spell affecting his feelings, returning his free will only for him to go off and seduce other women. the end of the mv shows selene in the driver’s seat of his car after he’d left the club he was in with another woman, before ending suddenly.

After sporadic teaser releases throughout the month, 2k have finally released the teaser for her solo track ‘24 (Not Enough)’. Throughout the teaser the female is seen showing off her sex appeal along with her dance skills, the teaser showing scenes of her undressing along with being filmed by a mysterious male who had not been identified yet. While no MV plotline had been shown, the MV appears to be a more mature concept, the artist clearly taking inspiration from her group and groupmates. After the release of CREEP’s best of album along with Selene’s rap in one of the newly released tracks, ALIENs have been anticipating the release of the newest addition’s solo, do you think it’ll meet the expectations of those waiting?

With a mysterious teaser dropped at the start of the month, Selene had raised many questions, a lot of fans of the idol and her group CREEP wondering what concept and image the vocalist and dancer was going for. In true CREEP fashion, her next teaser image has done nothing to answer the fans questions, instead releasing the time and date of her debut along with the name of the title track. With 12 days until the debut, let’s hope that more is released soon!
