Even so, it's easy to see people like him being cast aside and undermined in the real world for not being 'smart' the way it'd be expected of him, and I see that manifesting in the Church section, where he needs a little push to remind himself that he's capable, after reading words that surely aimed to hurt his self perception.

I see that manifesting in the Orchards, where he felt absolutely hopeless and begged for signs, because he didn't realize the ones right in front of him. And honestly, I didn't either. I wouldn't blame him.

But he blames himself for not being as 'smart' as Derlord, even though he pushed himself to go all the way back to the last gate after being tricked out of sheer determination. Even if it takes a bit for him to figure things out, he doesn't go down without a fight.

the amount of edits that popped up of avery after that stream was ridiculous. [and if derek liked a few of them with his alt account, that was nobody's business but his own]

i'm gonna make a derek post soon, but for now some of my Avery headcanons;

He's not BUFF buff, just strong from being active, i just accidently made him look extra by mistake

he's got a collection of stupid meme shirts to wear during streams sometimes

in general [not just streamer au] i think avery is a little chubby, but he's quite strong and active. when its slime avery he is a bedwars player and is good in combat, and when its irl avery its because of skateboarding and volunteer work on an elderly family friend's farm. Since he likes animals and is super interested in botany he enjoys it, and his flexible work situation as a streamer allows him to visit pretty often.

Yesterday it was Valentine's Day in Brazil (yes we have a different date for it) and it's winter (so cold)

So I wanted to make something special for The Boys

in which Avery learns something about the kid in his class.
