MELLOW’S GYURI HOST FUNDRAISER BANQUET FOR PAW&HAND

On June 5th, a banquet was held to raise money to go towards the future PAW&HAND projects. Idols such as Lucid’s Minny, USIK, BIGBANG’s Seungri, and more contributed in support of the cause.

Earlier in the year, the idol announced the launch of the new organization, PAW&HAND. From there, the organization took off. Successfully, PAW&HAND were able to find loving homes for 4,000 animals and counting. All over South Korea, letters are written and sent to PAW&HAND, thanking the organization for efforts to help animals of all species find homes. But as a new organization, PAW&HAND still has a long way to go. Action has been made to continue the success of the organization. PAW&HAND announced during the banquet that their new website will be launched soon, and future plans to better the foundation are being discussed.

It was reported that 40.5M (KRW) in total was donated during 5 days after the banquet was held. On behalf of Jeon Gyuri, PAW&HAND’s spokesperson stated: “We thank everyone for their donations. PAW&HAND’s future will shine brightly because of everyone’s help. And because of the positive response that was received, we will like to give back half of the donations to foster children of Korea. As said before, PAW&HAND is a home to everyone. Thank you.”

U-SIK AND MELLOW’S GYURI HOLDS VLIVE DEBUTING DUET ‘SIMPLE LOVE’

On December 17th, U-SIK and girl group member Gyuri debuted their new duet title song ‘Simple Love’ along with a MV. It was stated all proceeds earned will be donated to Pohang city’s earthquake victims and Korean Animal Theme Park.

What do you like about working with each other?

U-SIK: The nice relationship Gyuri and I, like brother and sister, made the creation of the song be less stressful and more like a time to work, hard play hard. I think I enjoyed that the most.

Gyuri: Oppa is very determined succeed in his work. Even when circumstances appear to be grim. I think that’s why it was so easy to work with him. His energy vibrates the whole room. It’s hard to not feed off it.

MELLOW’S GYURI HOLDS PRESS CONFERENCE FOR NEWLY FOUND ANIMAL WELFARE ORIGINATION

On December 16th, Gyuri of girl group, Mellow, held a press conference announcing her newly found animal welfare foundation named, Paw&Hand.

During the conference, the idol gave a speech discussing the reasoning behind the start as well as the dreams she has set for the nonprofit origination:

Gyuri has dropped her first ever mini album ‘CLULESS’

The title song “CLUELESS” has been said to be Jeon Gyuri’s first hands on project. She stated, “I wanted to make my first album personal, that’s why I took the time in writing my own lyrics with the help of my fellow artist and producers.”

The five-track album features upcoming and well-known artist: fellow Mellow member, @hwangsia, @youngleeish, @sajinyul, and @gnams

GYURI DROPS SINGLE FEATURING LUCID’S MINNY

Today the Mellow member, Jeon Gyuri surprised fans with a Reggie style EP Single and MV, titled ‘THINK AGAIN’ featuring label member, Lucid’s Minny. ( @minny222 )

The new release single went unprompted, but fans did not fall short to support the idol’s work. Many were pleased of how well the two label-mates vocals blended in the unexpected track ‘THINK AGAIN’. In the MV, it broadcast a sassy, yet carefree side of the duo, matching along with bold and powerful lyrics. Though receiving a positive response, fans are setting the bar high for Jeon’s mini album to come and hope to see more features.

September 23, will be the release date of the mini album titled ‘CLUELESS’.

2K RECORDS ANNOUNCES MELLOW’S JEON GYURI FIRST SOLO ALBUM

Recently, fans had been speculating that the lead rapper of Mellow, Jeon Gyuri, will have a second solo project, and fans were right. Today, 2K RECORDS announced that the idol will release with a first mini album, titled CLUELESS, along with two MVs. The release date will be on 23 of September, which is also the birthday of the Mellow member.

That is all what 2K RECORDS had confirmed, but many are not convince that this would be all from the artist. Because of Jeon’s absence from the public eye, busy with film making, and only endorsing Mellow projects, fans believe 2K RECORDS are withholding further information about the singer’s undertakings.
