shoutout to these pictures from patsc for keeping me alive
“Tell you what. You say “sorry” so easy, like the rough patch’s smoothed over, no hard feelings and everything’s fixed. Well, no. There’s dark… a mass of darkness in the world, and if you get trapped in that cave like us, it beats you down. “Sorry” can’t fix it. Better to say nothing than “sorry."”
~ Peter and the Starcatchers
I really love this quote. It’s so applicable to so many situations. 💖💜💙
Theater is my entire life, I love it so much so here’s some pics from a show I’m in right now called Peter and The Starcatcher. It’s a prequel to Peter Pan and it’s the most moving story I have ever been a part of. Here’s to our second week of performances with some quotes from the show:
“That thing we did against impossible odds, it’s what we’ll always have have,”
“Soon, you’ll forget and it won’t hurt anymore”
“No! It’s supposed to hurt! That’s how you know it meant something!”
“Things are only worth what you’re willing to give up for them,”

Molly is a Starcatcher
Molly, you deserve better than what you’ve gotten.
Molly, you will lead masses someday, showing us the way to peace.
Molly, I remember you like it was yesterday, sitting by my side, head rested on my shoulder as we auditioned for the show that introduced us to one another.
Molly, you bring light that no one else could. You are angry and bright and have a voice that could outshine others.
Molly, you took on a character and made her your own. Brilliant and strong. Just like you.
Molly, you are the real hero. You were braver than me, braver than the Peter I play, braver than any other.
Molly, I can still see you in the stage light, perfect ringlets in your hair as you spouted gibberish lines.
Molly, I can still feel your lips on my cheek. I can still feel your arms around me. I can still remember your hand in mine. I can still remember our characters.
Molly, you take the bad and make it beautiful. You stand LOUD and PROUD.
Molly, you told me of books and bands and music that I had never heard of before. You knew everything and anything.
Molly, you were never mine. You were never anyone’s. You were YOU. You Love and you laugh and you fall in Love.
Molly, you go to places and do tasks that take us all by surprise. But for you it is just another day. You amaze everyone and anyone.
Molly, though that may not be your name, and that may only just be a character in your repertoire, you are still Molly to me. The girl who makes me think. My friend.
Molly, they say you may not make it.
Molly, they tell me that your injuries are too severe. That you lay in a critical war zone.
Molly, in the depths of your induced coma, I know that you’re fighting. I know that you will be fine.
You’re a Starcatcher, and Starcatchers will always come around.
-Your Peter

My friend and I met on an audition for Peter and the Starcatcher. She became Molly, and I became Peter. We worked together and became good friends. Please, everyone send good thoughts to her.
I love Peter and the Starcatcher and Christian Borle was amazing as Blackstash!

Peter and the Starcatcher - A musical put on by my school’s senior theatre class. I was asked to design a poster, which I did!

I was in my school’s production of Peter and the Starcatchers and there are many stories involved with this production but I’ll just tell two. It was a /long/ rehearsal which was planned to go past dinner time and we were told by the director to bring “plenty of snacky-snacks” to which people brought, snacks, but not food. And I was texting my mom about it and she was horrified because none of us had food and rehearsal wasn’t planned to end at 8 so she showed up at 6 o clock in the drama room with her knitting project (a hat for Smee) and enough pizza for an exhausted cast and everyone lost it. Our lead burst into tears because she was so overjoyed to have pizza, my mom got a lot of hugs, and everyone was just generally pleased. She also did this the next day, making sure to get gluten free pizza because some of our cast members are gluten intolerant and that brought more happy tears and hugs.
Onto the second story, I was a post, for a boxing ring, and where my post was, the actor who played Smee stood right behind me, and we were still in script stages. Our scripts were printed out on printer paper and kept in three ring binders and Smee couldn’t hold her script for the part we were working on so she dropped it on the stage right over where the pit is supposed to be so it made a loud hollow noise and I’m a person easily startled and the cast knew this because of some smaller spooks throughout rehearsal process but they had never seen a large scale reaction from me. So she drops the script and I immediately collapse to the floor and everyone is shocked. There’s a ton of yelling and I’m on the floor laughing at myself, the director yells out that I’ve “taken hitting the deck a little too seriously” the guy who played Blackstache helped me up and said “I’ve never seen someone fall to the floor faster” and the Smee, who dropped her script, fussed a ton. After reassuring everyone that I’m just easily spooked (never a good thing) we continued with rehearsal.
Also worth mention is that our first full run-through of the show was opening night.
Finished the second pendant for “Peter and the Starcatcher.” This one is Lord Aster’s. I think I might make some of these and list them on Etsy? ✨🌙✨
