7th Heaven ran from 1996 - 2007 on the WB & CW and became the longest running family drama in television history. The unexpected love story for the Pastor's Daughter & Marine's Son would slowly develop over the seasons. Ruthie was the first Camden who Martin met in season 8, and at first things were strictly platonic then however, things would become more complicated in season 9 as these two would have an attraction that they didn't realize until 9x12 ""Paper or Plastic?" episode when Martin mentioned he would love to marry in a family with a lot of brothers and sisters, and which Ruthie replied from a distance, " Who knows, maybe someday you will." Ruthie is the first of the two to realize what her true feelings were for Martin, and it was love yet Ruthie always kept the truth from herself and continued dating others to try to move on from Martin or get him to notice her. In Season 10, Martin found out about Ruthie's crush in a devastating way. Season 11, Martin finally realized his attraction to Ruthie.
