Coteās new project ! The crossing (short film)
āŖāLife takes its toll on a woman when confronted with losing everything. What happens after an unexpected exchange with a stranger?ā ā¬

Cote and Michael photographed by Jeff Katz (2009)
āThe double agent for the patriarchy is basically just a woman who perhaps unknowingly is still putting the patriarchal narrative out into the world. Is still benefitting off, profiting off and selling a patriarchal narrative to other women. But itās a wolf in sheepās clothing. You know, just because you look like a woman, we trust you and we think youāre on our side, but you are selling us something that really doesnāt make us feel good. Youāre selling us an ideal, a body shape, a problem with our wrinkles, a problem with ageing, a problem with gravity, a problem with any kind of body fat. Youāre selling us self-consciousness. The same poison that made you clearly develop some sort of body dysmorphia or facial dysmorphia, you are now pouring back into the world. Youāre like recycling hatred. I find that really dangerous and I think itās unacceptable and I donāt care if youāre a woman. I think constructive criticism is needed for anyone to ever evolve. For our gender to evolve we need some sort of constructive criticism. As long as we do it in a somewhat careful way. (ā¦) So many of the worst things in the world have happened motivated by greed. And I just donāt think thatās an acceptable excuse anymore. How much money do you need? Really how much money do you need? How much money do any of these huge influencers who are worth millions or billions sometimes⦠why are they still promoting appetite-suppressant lollipops to young girls? And itās not a fight against obesity. They have young, already slim girls, in their adverts for Flat Tummy company, this company that are absolutely everywhere, and theyāre even being advertised in some of the most mainstream magazines, womenās magazines, and they have a billboard in Times Square. The money is built on the blood and tears of young women who believe in them, who follow them, who look up to them like the big sister they never had. Itās so upsetting and it feels like such a betrayal against women.ā

Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo interview on Europe 1, last year at Monte Carlo.
PSA
I lay in bed and I hear my sister crying in the bathroom and it breaks my heart. I failed to help her. She has no money to pay for bills, she has no money to take her son to the dentist or buy him new shoes. She sleep on the floor in my bedroom for five months now because she just doesnāt have any place to go.
She told me today that she keep thinking about killing herself.
I saw signal boosts where people asked for money because they wanted to go to Disneyland or they wanted to visit their friend in another state. And they got tons of donations. Iām not saying that you canāt raise money for less serious things. But I see my sister who has nothing at all right now and wonder why everyone ignore my asks for help. No one owns me money of course. Thatās not what Iām saying. It just would be nice if some nice person or two send a few dollars. You would make a single mother and her son happy.
So please please if you can spare something, send via paypal: Ā [email protected]

āKeeping the internet open is critical for us. It powers social movements, and provides a global platform for people of color, LGBTQ folks and the most marginalized communities to tell their own stories, run their own businesses and route around powerful gatekeepers.āāCandace Clement, Free Press Action Fund Campaign Director via @fight4futureā
Starting today, June 11, U.S. internet providers will be legally allowed to censor and block websites and apps, and force you to pay extra fees to to access your favorite places online. Your internet sanctuaries, the communities you are part of, the ones you have help build up, could be decimated.
Will it happen today? No. Next week? Probably not. The changes will not be swift. They will come piece by piece. A slow, tempered death to the free and open internet we love.
It doesnāt have to be this way. You can still make a difference, Tumblr. We need the House of Representatives to sign a discharge petition in support of the Congressional Review Act that would force a vote on the floor.
Contact your repsālet them know you support net neutrality.
Itās so easy. Just go to BattleForTheNet.com, fill out the form, and follow their directions from there.
They have an updated widget for you to throw on your websites to urge others to make a difference. You can put it on your Tumblr. Let your followers know what you stand for, encourage them to do the same. Itās so easy to do. Just copy and paste their small line of code right into the customize theme page on the web.
Go, go, go, go. We know you have that passion in you. Weāre fighting right alongside you.
what? i thought this was over, i thought we won, i thought that ajit fucker was going to jail

Creating new scenes cause we all need themĀ ā„Ā (ļ¾āć®ā)ļ¾*:dļ¾ā§
P.s.: (Feel free to write/add the lines cause as you may see I didnāt come up with anything)
He steps off the plane and tugs at his sweater as if it can rid him of the growing tightness in his chest. A feeling dampened momentarily by the tiny hands pawing at the fresh scruff along his jaw and chin. He smiles at the child in his arms, his daughter - his daughter, Jesus! - and blinks a couple of times to stop his eyes betraying him. Tali grins and pokes her finger in his nose. Tony doesnāt know if heāll ever get used to this, being responsible for this tiny person - his daughter, he corrects himself again. The daughter he shares - shared? - with Ziva. He breathes deeply and wonders if he can figure out how to unfold the stroller if it ever makes its way onto the carousel at baggage claimā¦
Heās walking through the streets of Paris and pointing things out to her as if she understands the significance of this place. Does she feel it too? They stood on this bridge, they bought pastries at that boulangerie, stayed in that hotel, in that room, in that bed. It was the job, of course. Nothing more. At least thatās what we told ourselves. What we always told ourselves. And now sheās gone, your mother. But she loved this place. Can you feel her?
Itās cold for May but there isnāt a wind and he wonders vaguely if the car exhaust fumes are lowering his life expectancy. He has to think about these things now, being a father and all. A father, Jesus!
Days pass and he marvels at Taliās patience with him. He wonders absently if Ziva somehow prepared her for his oddities. āIām not very good at this,ā he tells her, a self-deprecating smile crinkling his face. Tali nods solemnly and feeds him a mouthful of mushy food from her own spoon.
He shakes off the feeling, not for the first time, that heās being watched. He bounces Tali on his hip and points to the city sights - an excuse to use his very special agent skills to scan the crowds. But he sees nothing. His own words, come back to haunt him - there wasnāt a body.
He takes Tali to the cafe where he ate breakfast with her mother. Itās getting late though and darkness creeps in, taking him unawares. Tali is asleep in her stroller, the occasional sleepy sigh escaping her lips. The city is still busy though; bike messengers weaving through traffic, couples walking hand-in-hand, the sound of a cab door being closed somewhere nearby. He finds the rental that he double-parked - thereās a ticket on the dash - and he lifts his daughter - daughter - into the car seat and straps her in. Heās terrified sheāll wake but she only stirs a little and he smiles when her head bobs to one side as if her neck was too tired from a very long day of being a toddler.
He senses her before he sees her, convinces himself itās the ghost of her he feels. He doesnāt turn around. Sheās gone, he knows that.
āHello Tony.ā
Now he has to turn, because even if itās all in his head he has to confront the ghost thatās chasing him. But sheās there and sheās whole and he feels like the wind just got knocked out of him. He tries to say something, to fill the electric silence between them, but her presence has him stunned. She looks at him; her eyes sad, scared and hopeful all in one. His hand is shaking and the anger hits him like the force of an 18 wheeler. She sees it and he knows that sheās seen it, and he watches as she braces herself for its impact. He stares at her for a long time and the anger mingles with grief and something else⦠something a little like hope.
āYou didnāt tell me,ā he croaks.
āI know,ā she replies.
āYou could have called⦠I wouldāve -ā
āI didnāt want you to put your life on hold,ā she interrupts. āNot for me. I couldnāt⦠do that to you.ā She glances at her daughter, asleep and oblivious to the world. āI didnāt know how you would feel⦠about her⦠I left you⦠let you go⦠how could I?ā she falters, looking down, her jaw working furiously. āBy the time she came, Tony, all I could think about was protecting her.ā
He smiles a little because her answer is so āZivaā. When she looks up at him again, he holds her gaze and he wants nothing more than to cross the distance between them and take her in his arms. But he is Tony and she is Ziva and neither of them moves, the current buzzing between them.
āI am sorry,ā she says eventually. And her head moves so forcefully with the words that he knows she truly means it, is desperate for him to understand. He does. He understood the minute Orli left him with Tali, he just wasnāt ready to accept it then.
āWe have a daughter,ā he says.
She smiles softly. āI know,ā she replies.
