I'm such a gentleman

This was an exceptionally bad idea. Why did she think that this was ok? It wasn’t like she was drunk, it was 3pm in the afternoon and she was armed with a bag of Texas Pete hot wings. No one had seen Carter in days, at least that was the impression she had been given and well, Chloe wasn’t sure how many people would know just what this time of year was for the male which left her. Whilst Carter may have been horrible to her the last time they had spoken, he was a part of her past and more than anything he deserved her compassion. As his large door swung open though she had never felt smaller as she looked up at him, bag held immediately in surrender. “You can tell me to go away, but I was worried…you’ve been m.i.a and I know what you’re like this time of year and I was….I just wanted to check on you.”

“North Carolina it’s where I’m from duh.” She pointed out to the other as if it was in fact the most obvious thing that the blonde should have been aware of. Chloe was very easily wrapped up in herself, something she likely needed to work on but she’d get there eventually. “Oh drinks, I knew there was a reason I loved you, do  you think we have to kiss a whole bunch of ass whilst we’re here or we can party like for real?”

“Oh that’s right, you will, I could be your hot younger wife though and we could cause a controversy! Don’t you think I’d make a hot scandal?” Chloe taunted across the kitchen at him. She knew she would, it was half the reason she had been able to make it big around here in the first place she knew that much. No one would have taken her talent alone if she didn’t look so good on the screen. “Okay, you sit back, tonight I will be the ultimate wife and serve you dinner and we can talk about what we’re naming our children.” She beamed, hoping from her stool and heading to the fridge.

“Oh yes, hot chicks, actually should we just kick each other off of the boat and risk ruining a friendship for a day of hot sex?” Chloe taunted as she laid opposite the other. It would be far more fun than entertaining the boys she was sure but they were on their boat she supposed. “He just gives me people pleaser vibes you know, I mean I get the impression I’m going to get to be a pillow princess with that one.” At Freya's demands Chloe felt herself shrieking with delight, a squeal passed over the boat. “Yes please, I would like a full inspection.”

“I learnt it in high school when teachers used to act like I was dumb just because I couldn’t read, no one actually asked me if I could see the words right.” It was half the reason she had pushed so hard to be noticed for things other than her brains, made it easier than having to explain she wanted to read the page out loud, but the letters scrambled. “It’s easy to complete perfection.” The host rambled as she looked back at her with a small twirl of her finger. “I will never get bored of it, I don’t know how people complain about fame and blah blah blah, don’t they know that nothing is better than this. We should get you a shoe room though, we don’t want the shoes to suffer.”

Bianca Shafi would never cease to amaze her. Like she was sure that it could be twenty years in the future and she would happily watch the other paint a brick wall if that was what was on offer. Who wouldn’t want to be around such human perfection? Idiots. That was the only answer. “So like, do you think you’d be up for a documentary on your stardom, I think you need to be immortalised on the big screen, people of the future need to know the level of hotness they missed out on. I could totally get Netflix to agree to that.”

“oh i was very good at fake smiling, it comes in so handy now when people just grab at me and i have to be nice to people.” she hadn’t quite realised that things such as grabbing a smoothie at her favorite spot was going to become a community sport. still she was doing what she loved and people only stopped her every now and then. it was a small price to pay she said. “of course i can, imagine how many girlies are going to want those shoes once they’ve seen you wearing them. i get stuff sent all the time i’m going to need a closet for my closet. and a closet for all this jewellery within that too.” 

“We have to grace the men with our presence at some point, as much as we can’t live with them I don’t think I could live without them either.” Chloes life motto was yes, she liked men, but at what cost? Life would be much more satisfying if she hunted for her satisfaction between soft womanly curves and not sharp edged jaws. Pushing herself to her elbows she surveyed the guys that were on the boat with them, chuckling as her eyes found Freya’s pick. “I don’t think it’s us he’s staring at baby girl, he’s all yours.” Chloe hummed gently before she found the driver. “I want that one, the white shirt and mullet are going things to me.” 

“it doesn’t feel like it.” the brunette whined in an unapologetic sulk. she had never been used to not getting her own way. she’d fit the wholesome girl next door vibe her whole life and people had been happy to indulge her with her charms. it was an adjustment being in hollywood and that not being the case every time. “oh so i have to earn your love is that how it is? it’s not just freely given? i see.” her hum was coy but she had every intention of blowing him away with her mastery anyway. “i think our children would take over the world and i don’t think anything is wrong with that.” 

fame changed everyone, she knew that, people would be lying if they tried to pretend anything else but she had yet to meet anyone it had completely flipped inside out - yet here carter was. “you know i feel sorry for you.” chloe beamed back up at him, expression guarded carefully against eyes that were prying on their conversation. “you lost a lot carter, and i’m really sorry you lost yourself in that too.” was it a low blow? likely but chloe likely knew the real, or maybe just old, carter better than anyone he stepped besides these days. “i’ll leave you to your happy little life and you’ll get a whole binch of no comments from me going forward don’t worry. i wouldn’t want people think you’re the type of person i could have ever loved anyway.” 

“sorry, i’m a hugger, don’t you just love people.” chloe beamed  as she looked back at the other, physical touch had always been a love language for her and it didn’t matter if that was with someone she knew or virtual strangers. “chloe nice to meet you, don’t worry two years ago i was behind the counter at ulta matching people on foundation. this is literal madness to me.” but she loved every single second of it. “your shoes are so cute by the way!”
